WARNING...WDW bacon is BAAAAD...

...even if you're a bacon person, DO NOT VENTURE into the world of WDW bacon. It's super greasy, wobbly, and just tasteless. I've read so, so many dining reviews on these boards and I have NEVER heard a "the bacon was great" or even "the bacon was ok." It's always BAD BACON. We are bacon people and just looking at WDW bacon makes me ill. Compile the look of it along with all the bad posts about bad bacon just makes me want to warn my DIS family....DO NOT EAT THE WDW BACON!!!! It will ruin your whole meal, and no one wants that

Its microwave bacon at most places.

Look at the edges. If it has a 'rim' to it, don't expect it to be good. Some places do have real bacon (pan-fried or oven baked) though, just not most CS places or buffets.

Just had Bacon at Crystal Palace last week and it was pretty good. Not greasy at all and had a good taste.

Anyway...

Can't say that I've ever eaten bacon at WDW, except on a burger. I'll make a note to watch out for the bacon, but I'm not much of a breakfast person.

I don't understand. Have you actually had the bacon, or are you just going by the pictures you've seen and what others have said? I've had the bacon and it's fine. Bacon is not foie gras, sweetbreads, escargots, etc. It's not a delicacy. It is what it is and can never be extraordinary. I would be very hesitant to hear the opinion of anyone who claimed to be a bacon connoisseur. Now THAT would be frightening.

Oh, we've unfortunately had the bacon. Three strikes and it was out!!! I was just noting that even the photos you see oh it just look gross. And if you asked my DS17, he would say that he is 100% a bacon connoisseur and he wouldn't be lying! Bacon doesn't need be "extraordinary" just edible

The bacon is pretty tasteless. I like salty bacon. But one of my DD's thinks WDW has the best bacon in the whole world. Super well done and crunchy.

We like the bacon at Disney but we microwave our bacon at home. I like crispy bacon not fatty and flimsy. I HATE the bacon at Cracker Barrel as it is greasy and nasty to me but hey that is my opinion. We've never had a problem with the bacon at Disney.....

Our family has eaten breakfast at Spoodles, Cape May and Ohana. The bacon was fine. Sure it wasn't extra crispy but it was still good.

I've always thought the bacon at Disney was flimsy, greasy, and cooked way less than I like it.

Almost any restaurant I've ever eaten in has never been able to make bacon the way I like it. I like it extra, extra crispy and falling apart in my mouth. I tolerate it everywhere else. I do find that when they bring out the bacon family style it gets cold very fast and that makes it rubbery.

We ate breakfast at OPR at CBR every morning of our June trip. The bacon was wonderful! We certainly won't be skipping it on our next trip.

I've never had a problem with the bacon? I HATE skillet made bacon where it just sits in the bacon fat and keeps soaking it up as it cooks. I make all my bacon in the microwave on top of paper towels to get rid of some of the grease and fat so maybe that's why I like Disney bacon.

I will agree that on buffets and CS places the bacon is disgusting but if you are at Kona, GFC or any other TS non buffet breakfast the bacon is very good and nine out of ten DH can order it crispy and it is perfect.

At the buffets or CS we stick to sausage but Roaring Forks at the WL doesnt have sausage so we go meatless
