Yep....exactly what I've been telling everybody about. They keep me inside and keep the dog on a 2 story terrace. Neither of us wants to tangle with that thing!

that a garter snake? looks much too big to be a garter snake. man do I hate snakes they are horrible and scare me to death.

I recognize that type of snake! We had one living under my mailbox here in NJ. I named him Stumpy since he was missing the tip of his tail. I actually like snakes, so I thought it was neat that he lived there. When we re-landscaped our yard, I was worried about Stumpy, but one day my dad saw that Stumpy moved out near the woods around the backyard, so he was fine. He was very cute - he scared the mailman a few times, though!
