This is just gross!! I've seen rats from a distance before but never this close,

DH went to get the pellet gun to kill the rat, but of course he missed the rat and it jumped down and our dog Sadie saw the rat.....this is where she went...all by herself!

and I called her name to tell her to get down and this is what I got,

Thankfully we haven't seen the rat again! I hope it stays gone!

How did it climb that pole going up to the bird feeder?

aw that's a tiny rat! up here they get to be cat size. ;)

Look on the bright side...at least it was outside. The day before I moved (about two weeks ago), I had a rat in the bathroom of the place I was moving out of...guess you can figure out why I was moving out.

Hopefully you won't see it again...it might be afraid of the dog.

Is that Ratsrule???? Hey is he stalking me?;) ;)

Gepetto thats the same thing DH was wondering....I have no idea, he jumped off of the thing when DH missed him with the pellet gun.

Caity....oh my! I must say I love love love Washington and most things about it but thats one part I could do without.

We have those too! We have a wooded area behind our house....I would say its probably about a mile wide and a mile long. There are Foxes, opossums, racoons and no telling what else in there.

I would love to see one of the Foxes!!

We had a mouse climbing up our bird feeder today.

I think he's a cousin of RatsRule. I named him Clem :p

When my daughter was about 3 years old she called me to the window to see the chipmunk with the really long tail that was sitting on the birdfeeder! I never quite got over that, LOL!

FYI & this is even grosser but rats & mice eat dog doo-doo too. So if you don't pick it up you are *feeding* wildlife sometimes.

Well I guess we are always wondering where that Ratrule was and now we know!

What a picture...ewwww...shudder

Now I would definitely be freaking out!

That's not what a bird feeders for! YUCK!!!

Caity, I thought there were rats in DC politician-sized. :teeth: (sorry, couldn't resist)

Is Sadie a poodle? She looks a lot like our Toby. Heck, I've gotten looks from Toby like that one she gave you. :)

We have an in-window bird feeder on the back of our house and I've chased squirrels out of it several times. One time I was getting ready for work and heard a "meow." Since we don't have a cat, that was not an expected noise. I looked around and saw a cat sitting in the bird feeder!! More recently DW caught another cat going after a bird in the feeder.   Hopefully I've chased both of them off enough that they realize they aren't welcome around here.

I HATE rats!

No offense Ratsrule

Hey we have 2 that can come over to play if you want :) They prefer being OUTSIDe the cage anyway!
