Do not order from these people!!!! They are ripping off tourists!!!!! Food is terrible, they are rude when you complain, hung up on me three times and the "manager" is never there. We ordered from them, and got the wrong food, they charged us for food not delivered, and food was horrendous! We called back and they said they would deliver the food that was left off, but they never did. They leave flyers on your doors or under doors in hotel rooms, without the hotel's knowledge.

I just filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Sorry to hear that you had a problem. Actually, there are lots of warnings around here to never order from places that leave fliers around the resort (on vehicles, on doors, etc.) Manyof them are real rip-offs. I really hope you did not give them your cc info.

It is best to stick with chains and the recommended places rather than ever ordering from some place like that.

Most hotels I've stayed in have told us not to order from people who leave the fliers around.

I always pick people out of the phone book- I usually go with someone who has their menu in the yellow pages!

I heard that some of the places that put flyers under the door in hotels are just people who buy pizza from Sam's Club or Costco and cook them in their garage at home. We got some of the flyers when we stayed at the Radisson, but the front desk advised us not to order from them.

If I were a little more revenge minded, I might have placed a somewhat large order to an address (room) that was unoccupied. That would teach those thieving fools. Of course, that's just what I "might" do.

I'm glad you paid cash though. I have never seen any fliers or had any placed on our vehicle so I haven't heard about these scams either. I guess we all just need to keep on our toes this day and age. Sorry for your bad experience.

OKAY, I am all for entrepreneurs but COOKING stuff in garages and acting like a pizzeria

We were at the Courtyard in LLB last month when we passed some of them putting out fliers on our floor when we were on our way out. They were running to do it as quickly as possible, and I found out why when I got downstairs and told the front desk that they were there. A cop on duty in the lobby plus six security guards lit out up the stairs after them like bats out of hell.

The "fake pizza delivery" is a HUGE scam in Florida tourist areas. What they are trying to get you to do is use a credit card to pay for the pizza, so that they can then re-sell the credit card information.

Pizza Plus is a chain. A bad one at that. I have eaten there once by choice and once out of necessity (2 different states) and they are terrible. I have seen them in my state. Mostly in small towns that have no other pizza places or fast food option to choose from. I think they prey on small towns or in a place where there are a lot of choices but sneak in a leave fliers to unsuspecting tourists.

wow, we ALMOST used one! Funny thing was all of the flyers were identical EXCEPT for the name of the Pizza place. Menu & prices all teh same, color menu items and font. It was like they edited in a new business name for each flyer. The phone numbers were similar but not identical. When we noticed that, we went to the food court instead. Better safe than sorry!
