Just received an official looking post card telling me the Express Package Delivery had tried to deliver a package and couldnt.

The card suggested I call a toll free number to arrange pick up.

There was a tracking number included.

I called the number and found that the toll free number had been disconnected.

After Googling Express Package Delievery, I find that this is a scam and then when people call, they are asked for their credit card information to secure your "package".

They are selling travel packages and this is there way of getting you to pay for one.

That is sad! I can't explain how much fraud we see on a daily basis (work in the credit card industry). Hopefully the disco'd number means they have been caught and are pending prosecution.

Ugh all the scams these days are getting annoying.

I keep getting emails from "face book" on my main email that is not connected too face book in any way.

I'll add my PSA for the day. Remember to regularly check your accounts. These days, it is so easy to do online. Someone recently "used" DD's check card to buy $1400 worth of ferry tickets in the UK.
