I read in another forum that fast passes get a time lock on it when you stamp it.

It seems that you can only use it after the times expires and only for ONE !! attraction.
As soon as I`ll hear more I`ll let you know.

I'm not sure if I understand the "time lock" well... What is different from how it used to be??

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean :confused3 by "time lock" - other than that am I right in thinking you can only hold one at a time and not one for each attraction. Hope not. :sad2:

thats how it looks, seems you can only hold oneFP at a time, for only one ride at a time.
so peter pan 1200-1230 after that you can get one for another ride like btm 1300-1330 and so on,
well that is what i understood with my rusty french

But that is the way Fastpasses work at DLP, DL and WDW...
I still don't get what changed...

ETA: I read the other thread. You can only get a new fastpass from the moment you enter the "time window" on the fastpass you already have. Every time I have been to a Disney park, it has been like that. (with the sole exception of some non-networked FP-machines at DL)
So, I really don't get the fuss. It was like that in december at DLP, in August at DL, in May at WDW, in January last year at DLP, etc etc etc

First you could stamp your fast pass for each attaction.
So you could have 5 fast passes but eacht for another attaction ofcourse

As it seems now you have to wait until the time has past for onother fast pass.
For example if you have a fastpass for BTM and its for 3.00 pm you can`t get another fast pass before that time.

You had to put your ticket in the machine to get a Fastpass, and if you already had one, you wouldn't get another one. I tried to get double fastpasses, but never worked.
The Fastpass ticket always says from what time you can get a new one.

In December, we really had to wait two additional minutes in order to get the new FP out of the machine.

Quite actually, I think this is nothing more than normal. If everyone could have a FP at the same time for each attraction, there wouldn't be a need for FP, we would all be in the same queue again!

However, I know there are VIP-fastpasses. Never had one, but I think it's something you just have to show at the FP-entrance, and can go on the ride.

This also came up on the mouseplanet boards. From someone purporting to be a CM:
"bad news everyone... no more unlimited fastpass ! as of last week, only one fastpass every 2 hours... the machines wont deliver you another one before 2 hours went by since your last fastpass taken...
also for peter pans, a new system is in study, the badge star... maybe better than fastpass... we will see with time..."

First, no, there was no explanation of "badge star". Second, I'm assuming that it will now be when the window open OR after 2 hours, whichever comes first, like it is at the US parks.

A bientot.

I was looking forward to being trying out the multiple fastpass process that DLP had. Oh well. Looks like it will be regular fastpass rules then.

Disneyland Paris is/was the only Disney park you can get a fastpass for all 5 fastpass rides at once. You cannot hold more than one fastpass for a particular ride.

This is how it has worked for us on previous trips. Much better than WDW

Agreed Jackie. Will be a shame to have lost this flexibility, although I suspect that many guest did not know about this perk.
It was only when I joined this board I learnt about it :goodvibes

Well, if they're going to make this switch to be in line with the policies in th US, it'd be great if they were to adapt the policy of accepting FPs after the window ends. Based on my understanding of previously being allowed multiple FPs at DLP, but the return window being less than an hour as well as enforced, I could see the potential for a lot of FPs going unused. I'd see it as a fair trade if they extend the return window to an hour, and allow them to be used late like at WDW and DL. I love returning to a park in the evening with a pocket full of FPs knowing there will be no waits ahead.

A bientot.

OK do I get this right: On our last trip in November it was possible to start your day with collecting FP's. You could go to BTM, Indiana Jones, PP, SM2 and Star Tours and get one FP for each attraction. And now if I get a FP first thing in the morning for BTM (11am-11:30am) than I can't get a FP for one of the other attractions before 11:30am? Am I right?

That would be awfull! That would mean you can only use 2 or 3 FP per day!
If you have your 1. FP for BTM and you have to wait until the time on the FP before you can get another FP than you won't get a FP for PP anymore! Maybe you are lucky enough to get one for Indiana Jones!

If that should be true a VIP FP would be worth a million §!

I don't understand the changes. Does this mean you can pick up a fast pass for one ride every two hours? ie buzz at 10.00, BTM at 12.00, Indianna jones at 14.00 etc irrespective of the time you use the fast passes?

Which forum was the change reported on?

This ruins our strategy for doing the parks! We usually go round all the FP rides collecting FPs and then do the rounds again to ride them. What is the best strategy now things are changed. I suppose the fast pass slots will not get used up so fast??

Hopefully as others come back from their trips how best to use the FP system will become clearer :goodvibes

I hope not, otherwise it makes a mokery of having a time window in the first place IMHO :)

I could see the potential for a lot of FPs going unused.
Which for those in the main queue will mean less wait and hopefully those taking FP are more likely to use their slot since they will not have conflicting multiple FP times :)

Does this change also affect the Castle Club?

I don`t think they will change that service.

I hope they also make an end to the abuse of old tickets to get fast passes.
I really know of "guests" ho had 20 fast passes pp. on an illegal base.

They abused the system in a disgusting way and I think this is the firs step to an system that’s more honest.

This is not good news if true. When we go in the summer it makes all the difference to pick a fastpass up for each ride as you pass. As we are staying at the Explorers this summer we are going to have to deal with this as well as EMH :scared1:

I am just wondering if we are going to have to change hotels:scared1:

I agree :goodvibes

I'm lucky in that we've only had to use fastpasses once for PP during our three trips. I'm intrigued about what they are planning to use as a pilot on this ride as even with fastapasses it always seems to have a queue and my DD loves it.
