That's a shame! DD has just left school, and I was so looking forward to being able to go away during term time to DLP, then she goes and takes a job as a Playworker where she's not allowed to take time off during term time

Same here - no holidays in term time ever, even when my children leave school. For some reason the Head expects me to be there - just because I'm her PA.

I bet that means you even have to be there on inset days, meaning you couldn't even sneak off for a long weekend, if one came by at an opportune moment

I wish something would be done about the prices during school holidays, but it's supply and demand, apparently. There was talk of varying the holiday times, which I thought might do something towards improving the situation.

This virus won't effect me either- The Eurostar can't seem to find me any train times. Plus, we couldn't really get down to London.....

..... I'll just have to find another website with a similar problem... !!

I don't have to work insets if I don't want to, but they are quite often in the middle of the week. Last one was Wednesday 23 July and next one is Wednesday 3 September. So I grit my teeth, go to work, and put the extra money towards another DLRP trip.
