I would like advise anyone reading this to stay well clear of the Eurostar website - it's infested with some kind of virus that forces you to book holidays to Disneyland Paris.

Several of us DISers have been caught out already, visit the site at your peril, or at the very least freeze your credit cards in a block of ice beforehand!

Hopefully they will fix it soon

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Norton anti-virus seems no protection against it either.

I think someone has blocked the Eurostar website on my laptop its not loading up for me lol. Maybe its a good thing ha ha.

Ive just been forced into sneaking a look. :surfweb:

Never used the site before though so not sure where Im looking to get these brilliant bargains.
Probably just as well as we've no APs now so would need to buy tickets and then the cost of getting to London/Ashford and staying over a night before so it probably wouldnt be so cheap for us

So dont tell me whereabouts on the site it is ...................oh ok you could whisper it quietly but dont tell anyone else

Whatever you do DO NOT go to www.eurostar.co.uk and then DO NOT go to the blue box on the LHS that says book online. DO NOT tick the box that says '+ hotel' under the Eurostar box and make sure you DO NOT put in any dates. DO NOT look at the hotels on the 3rd page as you may accidently see how cheap the Holiday Inn is at the moment.

Psssst! It's over here!

If that doesn't work click on the right hand side of the homepage where it says city breaks, disneyland paris, click on another hotel such as Kyriad, input your dates and when it comes up with a package there's the option to change to another hotel, then change to Holiday Inn.
At least that's what the alien told me to do anyway.

OK thank you I'll make sure I dont do any of that at all :rotfl: :surfweb: :rotfl:

Nor AVG!

Emma, with your track record you should be grateful! :rotfl2:

Incidentally, I checked the HI web site yesterday, and it's quoting €149 per night for the dates we are going in December. That works out at around £120, which is double what we paid through Eurostar (unless Eurostar are giving us train tickets for £20 each), yet HI claim their price is the lowest price on the Internet - guaranteed!

emma, did it ever cross your mind that maybe your doctor snuck in overnight and blocked it so you can't book any more trips?

I think buying it as a package makes it cheaper.

I wish I could go but working in retail means I can never have time off in December unless i'm the manager who allocates the holidays;)

I was going to complain about the bug, but have since decided maybe it's not such a good idea, as they might check into it and discover there has been a terrible mistake

Dont worry, i did manage a sneak but i made sure my debit card stayed safely in my purse

Can you tell me how that is done please?

I realise they can offer some kind of discount, but booking them separately would work out as an additional £180 for us!

Look on the bright side, at least you aren't tied to school holidays, or are you?

Yes & know, I'm no longer at uni but my sister & most of my friends who I would go with are all teachers:headache:

I'm pleased to say I am immune to this virus (as we have to fly to DLP) but I think there's a similar bug on DLP official site ;)

Totally agree - book my eurostar through a different company as my mum can get great discounts with them. But the DLP wesbite seems to affect my computer very badly.

That's a shame! DD has just left school, and I was so looking forward to being able to go away during term time to DLP, then she goes and takes a job as a Playworker where she's not allowed to take time off during term time :headache:
