Uninstalling the Shockwave Player

In order to uninstall the Shockwave player simply use the file UNWISE.EXE located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave 10. Users can also use the Add/Remove programs located in the Windows control panel. The Macintosh installer contains both the installer and the uninstaller.

Uninstall Shockwave
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click Shockwave, and then click Add/Remove.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the Shockwave software.
NOTE: If the uninstallation process fails, continue with the next section.

Delete the Macromed Folder
1. Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
2. In the left pane, double-click Windows.
3. Double-click System.
4. Right-click Macromed, and then click Delete.
5. Click Yes to accept the deletion.
6. Close the Exploring System window.
