WARNING ::about reindeer ears

You know thoses kids ears that go on top of their heads and it looks like they have antlers. We took our out of storage today and my boys were playing with it and taking turns putting it on top of their head. Somehow the metalwire from inside the antlers poked out and got caught into my DS3 eye. I was at work but DH said it hooked in on the bottom lid and was stuck. He said he has never been so scared because he could not figure how to get it out. He just picked up the phone to call 911 when my son was able to get it out. He was so upset I left work. Besides a puncture wound all looks ok.I was going to take him to the ER but by the time I got home he was playing and his eye didnt seem damaged. I will call the Dr in the am though.
Anyway just wanted to warn anyone who may have these lying around at home to be careful.
Unfortunally mine does not have a label or tag on it so I dont have a company to write to. I remember what store I bought it from so I will check back there.

You might want to take him in to the Dr tomorrow to make sure the eye doesn't get infected because of the wire.
How lucky he was to not have done any damage to the eye!

I am going to take him to the eye DR. We really did get lucky that more damage was to the skin than the eye. Maybe that was my Christmas miracle.
