Warning about multiple park entries

Recently a friend was at the park and upon entry, Disney was giving away buttons of some sort (Marvel?). Apparently they only gave guests one upon entry so he got one, exited immediately and then reentered moments later. Apparently this flagged him in some way and he was pulled aside by CMs (and I think security). He was delayed by about 15 minutes while they reviewed security footage. The reason was because when people enter a park twice within a few minutes, the suspicion is raised that the guest used their AP to get into the park and then got it to a friend waiting outside (either by passing it through the gate or giving it to someone else to take to them). Of course there could be perfectly legitimate reasons for multiple entries in a short time frame but be advised that being stopped/delayed is a possibility and, indeed, likely.

This was a topic of recent discussion: Tickets Blocked For Entering Two Parks In a Short Timeframe. Clearly, Disney is trying to catch/prevent some kind of fraud at the turnstiles, but I don't know if anyone has found out yet exactly what is going on. Did your friend exit an re-enter from the same park (e.g. DL to DL)? Because previously the flag was raised when the entries were from different parks, e.g. DCA to DL but not monorail (DL) to DL main gates.

When I enter the Parks I usually scan my AP via the Disneyland App. It would be very easy for someone to share their login details with someone, or someone could use the physical ticket while another person used the app. (I would never do that, btw). If the people looked similar enough then the CM at the turnstiles might let the imposter in. I wonder if this has been happening? Anyone caught doing that deserves to have their pass confiscated/terminated.

If you read through the thread linked above, you'll see that it has been happening for a while. Disney will revoke the pass of any offenders who are caught.
