I wanted to give a heads-up to anyone who recently purchased or is thinking of purchasing the 4 park wood cover scrapbook from the disney parks. These beautiful books do not hold the standard size regular or disney pages. I found this out when I completed my first page and tried to insert it into the page protector that came with the book. The page size is 11x11.75. This would not be a problem (you can cut down the 12x12 easily) but, the book only came with 25 protectors. Called Disney and they gave me the number and web address for collectedmemories.com for refills. Called them and ordered what they thought would fit. NOT! The holes don't line up and because of the wide wood binding (if you have seen the book you would know what I mean) the page would get bent in the binding every time you opened the book. Needless to say, they are going back. Local stores were no help either. I was finally able to call the World of Memories store at DTD where I purchased it and was told that they don't make refills for the book and that I should have been told this when I bought it! He said I could send it back, but I love it so I decided to try to modify some 12x12's from the local Hobby Lobby. I found out that the ones that work are the Hobby Lobby brand if you trim off the little tiny margin from the holes side of the protector (so they don't stick out of the book) and you have to modify the holes so it fits (use hole reinforcements to help prevent tearing in the future). I thought it would be easy to get refills so I had already completed 8 pages and trimed them it size so I will have to go back and mount those pages on complimentary 12x12 sheets so they will fit the new protectors. I just wanted to try and prevent anyone else the frustrations that I went through over the last 2 weeks. Why in the world they would sell something that cannot easily be refilled (when they know scrapbookers make larger books than 25 pages) is beyond me.

That's a shame that they didn't plan for people like us! :confused3 Thanks for the warning, that was on my must buy list. I hope you those pages work out.

Thanks for the head's up. I bought the scrapbook at our resort POFQ on our last night. When I saw it it was with the other 12X12 albums so I just bought one and was so excited to use it. I thought with the wooded cover and the amount of cardboard in the spine of the book it would hold quite a few pages. Based on your findings, I'm guessing that isn't going to work. I'm going to see if I can convert some of my 12X12 postbound page protectors to see if they will work. I can't believe that Disney hasn't tapped into the refill market. Do they think that we will only have 25 pages in our scrapbook? Well...I guess if I can't "fit" my 12X12 protectors in the scrapbook it will only have 25 pages!!!!

Good thing I bought some other scrapbooks to use.

I got the "deal of a century" at the Animal Kingdom. They were clearing out some old stock of scrapbooks because I was told new ones were coming in (I guess the wooden ones) and I got a leather binder style scrapbook for $13.99 (needless to say, the three they had on the shelf came home with me!!!!!).

Where can I get a Disney World 2005 scrapbook? Is there anywhere online that has pictures or somewhere where I can order?

Just so everyone knows, the 12x12 pages with the modifications did work for me, whew! Still it was a pain, but I am almost finished with the book and am happy with the results. I did talk to the MGR at the World of Memories again (he called me back) and let him know that I got the word out about their lack of refills for all the books in their store and that many people aren't happy about that. He said he would do what he could to see that refills are available in-store for any future books they stock so people don't have to go hunting for them. He said they have been getting alot of complaints about this. Maybe they will finally do something about it.

i know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to update it, I also bought the four park wood scrapbook this past August, and after I saw this thread, I FREAKED OUT. but when i went back home to look at it, (i was at school at the time) it seems okay! the pages are still 12 x 12, everything fits nicely, i measured it myself too, so im thinking maybe they just messed up on the first few in production.. im sorry to you guys who bought them by the way. can someone else confirm this with me if you bought it?

i stilll need to know where to get refills!

Wow... thanks for bringing this thread back. I saw the album last week at the DTD shop and thought it was gorgeous. Glad I didn't buy it since there are no "real" refills available.

I know that DH bought me an anniversary present while we were at WDW. I don't know what it is, but I know that he saw me drooling over that book. Well, if that is what he bought me, I'll just have to only do 25 pages.

i actually think you can still find refills... imma go explore the scrapbook stores next week and see.. cuz the wood one i got is still 12x12.. perfect measurements. like i said in the last post, maybe the first productions were errors?

I had a terrible time with this too! My pages are smaller than 12x12, purchased the first week of July. I fell in love with the album and HAD to use it, so I took some CTMH (and even the older DOTS) pages, trimmed off the area where the holes were punched and then punched my own in the remaining spine area- so they would fit on the screws. Don't know if this makes sense, I'd be happy to answer any questions. Alot of effort went into saving that scrapbook!

i would love to post it but i dont think they allow me to post any pics yet, its a BEAUTIFUL scrapbook though. i went to DTD in hopes of buying the pooh 2005 one but when my boyfriend pointed this one out.. haha yeah that sounds funny.. i wanted it..

but does anyone else have an album that has true 12 x 12 sheets? Because I do, and now I'm starting to think that I myself have measured wrong.. LoL, just kidding, but seriously, I noticed that someone bought theirs in July and it was still wrong, I bought mine in August!

okay follow up: i just checked EVERY protector, and theyre all fine, 12 x 12.... this is a very interesting situation!

This isn't the first time Disney has done this to their scrapbook albums. I bought an album the first time in 2001 and when I got home the page protectors and paper it came with weren't even 12x12. I had to do a lot of modifications also. After that scrapbook I have become more caution of the measurements. I now tote a small ruler with me to make sure the album is 12x12. Thanks for letting me know about the current album. Why does Disney do this to us?
