Have any of you Harry Potter fans visited yet? We have tickets for a day there this spring and would appreciate any tips or pointers on making it a most memorable day! Thanks in advance, Debbie

Hi Debbie, I think you'd get a lot more responses on the UK boards as I know we've had quite a few posters visit :goodvibes

Thanks! I didn't even know there was one, but I'll go have a look right now.

Debbie

I went in June, it's fantastic. They have a cafe/ restaurant but it is very expensive. Same with the shop. You can rent out a headset which gives you information at certain points in the tour, we didn't bother so I can't say whether it is worthwhile. However, I do think that you can manage perfectly without it. Also if you wanted to you could share one between your party. About midway through the tour there's Butterbeer, about £2.50/ 3.50 a pop I think. We really didn't like it. Such a shame as we love it in Florida. Although I haven't seen many complaints so possibly just us! If you have any specific questions give me a shout :)

Thanks. We did reserve the audio guides when we booked the tickets, so that decision is made. I guess if we find they aren't adding to the experience then we can just shut them off. We'll definitely be looking for the Butterbeer. I hope I like it at least as well as at Orlando where I did not prefer the frozen anyway.

I did read several threads about the Studio Tour over on the UK Community board and got very excited about our upcoming visit.

I wonder if anyone has taken the train and the bus from London as the website suggests? That is how we plan to arrive and depart.

Thanks, Debbie

I just went on our trip to Europe in Sept. I LOVED the tour!! It was one of my highlights while there. Expect to spend a long time in there lol. We spent about 4 hours there. I found butterbeer there the same as in Orlando.

We took the train from London and caught the bus to the tour it was not that hard. Just make sure to give yourself plenty of time as at the connecting station there isn't frequent trains to the station to catch the bus. At the station there is also no signs on where to get the bus from inside. Go outside and the bus stop is over to the left lol.

I live about 5 minutes from it and my Mum played a part in building it, yet somehow I haven't visited! Trip Report if I do!

Thanks for the bus heads up. You would think since the Studio has these directions on their website that they would make it easier to FIND their bus!
Debbie
