We are staying at POP and we still warm our daughters bottles in the middle of the night. We use the microwave at home but don't know what we are going to do while we are at the resort. I suggested to buy a bottle warmer but my husband doesn't want to spend the money just for one for a week of use. Does anyone have any suggestions? I say just buy a warmer but if there are any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. My daughter will really thank you.

You could run hot water from the sink over it for a few minutes to heat it. Always works well for us.

We didn't ever use bottles, so I'm definately not an expert here, but I think you can get a bottle warmer pretty cheap, can't you? I'm sure I've seen them at Wal-Mart for like $10 or so. I would think it would be worth it.

Fill the sink with tap water as hot as it gets (and it does get very hot there) and then let your bottle sit in the hot water for about 10 minutes. We did it for our twin babies last November and it worked fine.

We always took a big cup with us, filled it with very hot tap water and set the bottle in the cup for a few minutes....it warmed it pretty quickly and evenly.

we have warmed them in the coffee pot before, but a bottle warmer is pretty cheap.

I would just make the bottle up with hot water out of the tap when she is ready for the bottle.

Run water through the coffee machine without the coffee. It will come out boiling hot, and then you can put the bottle in the pot of water to warm up.

I have also seen a single bottle warmer for right about $10, in fact I've bought them for trips and day care.

On the coffee maker thing, it you are mixing formula you can use a splash very hot water mixed in room temperature water to have instant warm milk, just shake it well.

For middle of the night feeding you can always make a pot of water when you go to bed, it will probably be just right when feeding time hits as it will very slowly cool off.

It's been a long time since I have had babies, but I do remember that the bottles with insert don't work well in the warmers, but do warm up nicely in a glass of hot water. I don't know what type of bottles you use, but I thought I'd pass along that bit of knowledge.

I know that when we have stayed on property, and the GF we asked for a microwave in our room to warm up bottles and baby food, and we always got a microwave and a refrigerator at no extra cost. I would call the resort directly and ask them if they could provide you with a microwave and a refrigerator for the baby. That would be the most convienent way to warm up the bottles and food!!!:

We also asked for a full size crib and a full size high chair with a tray and received those also. I talked to housekeeping directly and they were great!!!:wave2:

Our oldest used the ready to feed formula, so we would fill the sink with the hottest water we could get and let the bottle sit for 5-10 minutes until it was warm.

Our youngest used the powdered formula, so I would make the bottle with warm bottled water by taking a single serving bottle of water at room temp and letting it warm in the sink for a couple of minutes.
