Is 74 degrees warm enough to spend a day at BB? I know that 74-Maryland-degrees isn't warm enough, but how about 74-Orlando-degrees?

We did TL the first week of Dec and it was around 74. There were no lines and we had a great time. The water is heated but when you get out of the water it does seem chilly. We swim here when it's 74 so it wasn't cold to us. But since you said 74 wasn't warm enough in Maryland to swim you might not enjoy it.

How is 74 degrees in the middle of winter in MD? I know when we lived in PA and came to Florida in Dec. and Jan. my kids and I went swimming almost every day. I would still go if it was 74 and I live in Orlando now.

i may be saying this because I am from Michigan, where the motto should be "If you don't swim when it is 74 degrees, you don't swim!" I would do it!

Unfortunately 74 degrees is about the same no matter where you are. Now if 74 degrees is cold to you, and you live in MD, think about how cool it feels to us in Florida! The water will be warm, though, so if you run real quick and snuggle up in the towel, you may be OK. We went to Typhoon Lagoon one time when it was 69. It was when we lived in Virginia and had a pretty cold winter, so by comparison 69 felt pretty good... we kept wondering why no one else was there.

If you are lucky enough to have the temps we have been having this week, you will have no problem. It has been in the low to mid 80's all week. Unfortunately for the guests, but fortunately for the citrus farmers we are supposed to get a cold front this weekend, bringing the temps closer to normal for this time of year.. which would be high in the low 70's

I will, however, wish for you a nice sunny 80 degree day! :flower:

Eeyore - Sounds like you live down there - what do think the weather will be like for our 2/9 trip? Never been there in February before.

Unfortunately its pretty hard to predict. This has been a really strange winter. The normal for early Feb is about the same as it is for January. I would plan in the low 70's and pray for the low 80's! Bring a little bit of everything! Hopefully you won't have the kind of cold snap we had in mid December. It was actually cold on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was a bit warmer, but rained ALL DAY LONG!

As I said before, I will wish for you nice 80 degree days!
Have a great time!!

I took ds(11) and baby to BB today after school. The water was a bit cool, but once in it for a while it didn't bother us. The water couldn't have been too cold, because the baby didn't mind it.

It is definitely not been "winter" here! I live in the panhandle and my kids have been in shorts. I am glad to hear a cold front is coming through!
