Monday 21st August
We got up early today and got to the park before opening and managed to ride Dumbo and Peter Pan straight away!
Then we went back to Salon Mickey where I had arranged to meet a fellow DISer Nikki (BONITATIME). It was really nice meeting up with her
and we had a lovely chat but unfortunately neither of us thought to take photos!
We had a busy morning and did Peter Pan again, Buzz several times, Indiana Jones (only Bryan, the rest of us browsed in the shops!) the Aladdin walk-thru, Nautilus, Honey I Shrunk etc, Star Tours then our tummies started to rumble so we went to Au Chalet de Marionnette for a snack of fries and ice-creams ~ oh so healthy!!
Then over to POC (no Jack
) to ride this a couple of times
and had a good old wander through Adventure Isle, then over to PM and into the Castle to video the dragon and the stained glass windows.
We had chosen to eat at Annettes tonight and just before entering we saw the Buffalo Bill parade in the Village.
We had a lovely meal at Annettes. Bryan and Samantha had the Euro Chick chicken burger
Danielle had the kids burger, Francesca had nuggets and I had Lucky Leo's Burrito Wraps.
For dessert Danielle and Francesca had ice-creams, Samantha had the Happy Days Brownie sundae
whilst Bryan had The Big Apple Apple Crumble
and I had the American Pie (apple pie).
We all agreed our food was delicious and the portions were HUGE!!!
The 50s setting is great fun, like something out of Happy Days or American Graffiti, and we saw some rollerskating servers
but unfortunately no rendition of Grease.
We had planned to watch Fantillusion tonight but as it was pouring with rain from early evening onwards we gave up on the idea and went back for an early night.
