Thursday 17th August

We woke after a good night’s sleep and went to Disneyland Park. We collected fastpasses for Buzz and Big Thunder Mountain. Actually we got two lots for BTM because the fastpass machines were being a bit temperamental and a CM was giving them out to everyone, even to people who had successfully got some from the machines ~ and these ones didn’t have a time slot on! :Pinkbounc

We then went on the Mark Twain riverboat. We had been looking forward to this as the riverboats haven’t been running on our previous visits. We really enjoyed it and the scenery was fabulous. :boat:

We went to Buzz Lightyear’s Pizza Planet for lunch. Samantha and Francesca had a Mickey pizza and Bryan, Danielle and I had a pizzaburger which was rather different! It was lovely and cool in here and the play area looks like a godsend for parents with small children. For those who haven’t been, it’s not my dodgy photography ~ the lighting really is this colour! ;)

After lunch Francesca and I queued at the Princess meet and greet near the Castle stage so she could have her photo taken with Cinderella. The others went to ride Autopia. After what seemed a lifetime we eventually got to the front of the queue. The others turned up just in time to gatecrash the photo ~ we had been queueing for so long they had even been to ride Pirates of the Caribbean after Autopia! :o

The reason the queue was moving so slowly was because you got to meet two princesses ~ two for the price of one! princess: princess:
After Cinderella they moved across the stage to meet Sleeping Beauty.

It was then time for our fastpasses on BTM so we hotfooted it over there and rode it :wizard: and then again :wizard: :wizard: with our anytime fastpasses. Glad we had these as the standard wait time was showing as 65 minutes. :earseek:

Next was Star Tours :yoda: :darth: :chewy: :ewok: I love this ride, then it was time for our fastpasses for Buzz.

Then we watched the Princess Parade. Great as always. pixiedust: We videoed this, then it was time for our reservation at Plaza Gardens Restaurant. It is very beautiful inside here and the buffet was very good value for the price ~ 20 euros for adults, 10 euros children.

Whilst we were in here it absolutely bucketed down with rain :umbrella: but luckily it was all over by the time we had finished. We wandered down a fairly empty Main Street (the torrential rain must have chased everyone away) looked in a few shops then caught the bus back to our hotel and had an early night. The next morning we saw on the news that thunderstorms had caused flash flooding in Paris the previous evening so we felt very lucky to have been cocooned in the Plaza Gardens at the time.

All in all a lovely second day. :goodvibes

That was lucky with the fastpasses for Buzz :thumbsup2

The queueing to meet Princesses seems a much better set up than before I think and you get much nicer Photo's and some time to talk. Francesca looks lovely in her dress and so delighted to meet Cinderella. I think we will give it a go with our little Princess next June !

You are right about the play area in Pizza Planet it is a heaven for small children , our two 4 year olds loved it (and we quite enjoyed the rest too !!) ;)

We have only had the Birthday Tea in Plaza Gardens but I'd love to go back it is so pretty and the prices seem very reasonable. We also find Buffets a good option with the children as they can pick at different things.

Lovely photographs and a lovely report too. We enjoy Plaza Gardens although we've only been there for the Character Breakfast (twice) - wouldn't mind going back and trying the buffet.

:) Glad you had a lovely second day and how lucky to have missed the rain! :) I love the pictures of your girls with the princess. :goodvibes

sounds like a fab day, how lucky with the rain. :)
