Can anyone recommend sleeveless tanks that are comfortable but not too revealing? Sometimes the ones from Old Navy (and similar) are too thin, IMHO. No thin straps! Does anyone layer theirs and, if so, is that too hot?

EDIT: I have several of these, http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product.jhtml?id=prod92236181&catId=cat301184 but I always layer them or wear them under things. I think it will be too hot to layer, but I am afraid they'll look a little too, um, trashy to wear alone. Maybe not. It seems almost anything goes at WDW!

I've worn golf shirts (short sleeved polo type shirts) in the past but they are thicker and can get hot, so I'm thinking just shorts and tanks this year.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Also, what's the final verdict on tennis shoes vs sandals (I've seen Crocs, Tevas, etc. all recommended)?

EDIT: I wore my tennis shoes last time (MBTs which I love, love, love) but they do tend to get a bit heavy and I'm thinking sandals would be a bit cooler. I'm scared about the warnings of blisters or hurt feet (we walk, walk, walk AND have little ones we may end up carrying if they don't want to stay in a stroller).

Land's End! They have the best tanks and sleeveless tops I have found!

Check your local sporting goods stores too. They have great tops made of the quick dry type fabrics that are very cool.

Locally, we have Academy. I bought a Columbia quick dry shirt for under $20. I also brought some others for under $10.

I have to second LilyU with Lands End:thumbsup2 . They are thick, soft, and durable (wash well).

I actually just saw some cute ones at the Disney Store. They seemed to be cut very modestly, and were plenty long enough to cover everything. There were a bunch with a slipper design on them (in rhinestones or something similar) that said either "The perfect fit" or "One shoe can change everything." There was another with a crown that said "The Queen of All Evil."

At Walmart in the work out clothes section, they have the thicker strapped tank tops in all different colors. They aren't thin, but they aren't real thick either since they're workout clothes.

I got some really cute tanks at Belk for last years trip! they worked out really well because they were functional and fashionable!

As for the footwear issue...I took a good pair of tennis shoes that I wore for the "bulk" of my day walking around parks, but I also brought my birkenstocks for evening to give my tootsies a break!

I am look at crocs for this up coming year trip for raining days...we'll see!

On the shoe issue.....IMO...the best athletic shoes are the ones that are designed for running/jogging.....they are light weight and breathable(as long as they are not leather). Just be sure that they fit properly and you have worn them in.

believe it or not, try Victoria's Secret online store. I bought several tanks and some cute t-shirts and halter tops to wear. They usually have free shipping codes running around somewhere.

The last two years I have always worn my flip flops (my comfy ones of course)....they aren't 'dressy', but then again neither are crocs. LOL
I have never worn, or even brought tennis/running shoes to WDW.

I am on a search for tanks too.....but thin straps, & long in length

Another vote for Land's End! They have great tank tops that provide good coverage, the material isn't too thick, and they come in tons of colors. Their basic ladies' tanks are about $10 each.

i ALWAYS wear a tank top under everything. i get the Body Shapers (they really don't shape anything. just gives extra support and coverage) from New York and Company and wear that under any shirt or tank. I am a petite lady with a large chest and have a REALLY hard time finding shirts in general that i'm comfortable wearing. if i don't wear one i feel like i'm exposing too much. oh and i second Victoria's Secret. They have a lot of great clothes.

As for shoes, i wear gym shoes but bring a pair of Old Navy flip flops to wear on the water rides or if my feet start to feel too confined!

I'm an Eddie Bauer fan myself. Don't care for oversized armpits and I like that lots of their thinner strapped tops have fasteners to keep your bra in place.

Shoes - I find that alternating shoes helps. I bring my favorite tennies, good walking sandals (born), and my mary janes (keen).

I made a great new for women find at Target. In their athletic department they carry a huge selection of running skirts and co-ordinated tops. I have four sets for our trip in two weeks. These are made of very light breathable material and run to sizes XXL. I'm a rather porportionate "curvy" gal and they look great. The running skirts have built in shorts that are so comfortable. The lightweight fabric dries quickly so that will be an added bonus on certain rides, lol.

Here's a picture of one of them: http://www.target.com/C9-Champion-R...e=UTF8&node=401739011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1
