War looming, help us working class

Can you please help those of us who work. With war looming and no tv here at work, it’s hard for us to keep updated. Last time (9/11) Tony kept us posted during the day. My home page here at work is MSNBC but it kinda froze during 9/11 so I only had this board to turn to.

Updates would be greatly appreciated. I may head out at lunch and pickup a radio but for the morning, updates should anything major happen are welcome by me.

I don't think you have to worry about that Denise, I think if anything happened a lot of people will be posting what is going on. Hopefully we won't need to do that.

I would say you most certainly will get updates on these boards if anything should happen. On 9/11 everyone was here. I think we were just all looking for comfort and support during that day. I know the boards were the only way I could reach my sister..all the phone lines lines were busy..but she was here posting and so was I.

Another idea would be to bookmark one of the larger newspaper sites (like the Chicago Tribune for this area) and check there for updates. Those sites do not get the huge traffic loads that the big ones, like CNN, MSNBC and the like get, overloading them at times. Just a thought.

Thanks Dan; that's a great idea. I actually did that during 9/11 I found a newspaper that was keeping up to minute coverage.
