Hello all! I'm Danielle :wave2: and I've pretty much struggled with weight all my life...... AND I'M SICK OF IT!!!

I'm ready, I'm willing, and I'm able. I'm able to become a healthier version of myself and get my life, all aspects of it, into shape. I've spent these last two days scouring these boards, reading all the inspirational posts and getting some great ideas. I am going to do WW and exercise. I became intranced at 3 in the morning by a Windsor Pilates infomercial last week so I should be getting that soon to aid in my excercise plan. Darn Insomnia :lmao: But if it works then I won't complain.

BUT I do have an issue....well, beyond my pants not fitting, my shirts not fitting..oh and my underwear not fitting.... you get the point....

I need a BUDDY! I need someone to encourage me, keep me on track and help keep me responsible for my weight loss. Even though I am married, my DH is not yet ready to loose the weight he needs to (He is Pooh sized as well and I love every inch of him) and in the past when I've tried to do this on my own, he seemed to always be my *sweetest* downfall.

I'm hoping to loose 50 lbs or more by next september, when we go back to WDW. I really want to layout by the pool and not feel as if people are judging me, I want to feel beautiful again and most importantly, I want to do this for me!!!!

Anyone interested in helping a sister out? I promise I don't bite... unless you have chocolate in your hand! :rotfl2: PM me if you'd like or message me back here.

Also, is it okay to add the Wish graphic to my siggie?? I didn't know if someone had to bestow that to you or not?? Thanks!

Danielle.... a woman on her way to a slimmer her!

 Danielle! Your post is so uplifting and funny I just couldn't reply. You sound like you have a plan and all you need is encouragement along the way, so you have come to the right place. If you are joining WW there is a WONDERFUL thread here for the WW folks and there are a super bunch of losers over there and I am sure if you jumped in that you will find a boat load of encouragement and support.

Your goal is so doable and with your winning attitude you can succeed. :woohoo: So a great BIG WISH :welcome: I look forward to seeing your posts on your success.

Danielle, Welcome to WISH!

You definitely CAN do this. There are many here on WISH ready to offer encouragement as you begin your journey.

Join in anywhere for the fun, begin a thread on your own too!

The WISH clippie is located in the Smilies and just grab one and get ready to keep changing as you find your healthy lifestyle!

I LOVE Winsor Pilates! You will not find it easy, but don't be discouraged. Do what you can and as long as you keep at it, you will begin to feel the difference before too long. Pilates is a set of exercises to strengthen your core set of muscles. You need to also develop a plan to track your eating and begin to increase that cardio part.

I'm excited to hear how you are doing. Come often, post lots!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Tiggerlover thanks for the reply! I'm glad someone thinks I'm funny. I tend to have a bit of a sarcastic wit sometimes and I don't even know it. Know that quote from Steel Magnolias, "If you don't have something nice to say... come sit by me!!" :lmao:

Thank you for the encouragement! I found the WW thread and it inspired me to pull out my WW stuff and make the grocery list. Thats a start!!! Thank you again!:goodvibes

Lily thanks for the welcome and encouragement! I'm looking foward to the Pilates, really, even though I know its going to be a tough work out. I've started a weight loss journal and have my WW grocery list for this weekend all ready to go. I'm SOO excited! Yeah!!:cheer2:

You are most welcome! Encouragement and support is what this journey is all about (in addition to commitment and action). The WW thread is an important part of my life, it helps keep me on track so I am always excited to "share" it with everyone. A testament to the thread is that is has been up and running for almost 3 years and it is almost 200 pages long! Dust off that WW stuff and join us and we will help you along your way and you can help us along ours. :)

Hi! You can pm any time you'd like. I've been off the ww bandwagon for 2 years now and boy does it show. I'm trying to start back and stay motivated with dieting and exercising. I need to look for that ww thread. I think I might actually join a lunch group. I've never done ww meetings but for some reason I think I need to fully own up to my weight and go. Plus if i remember correctly my mom use to come home with some great recipes.

Being it is the weekend and sometimes I have difficulty getting through with wise eating choices, I thought I'd jump in to offer support as you go through the days.

You can do it! It is worth it.

You've no idea!!! Today is a Graduation party and I'm not sure how to stick with the good food and stay away from the bad food. Sigh. Lots of water though so hopefully that will keep me in track.

I just noticed you are from Cleveland, I'm just south of you in Youngstown. Hi Hi close neighbor! :thumbsup2

Lets all have a great weekend!

Danielle

Hey, I've been on WW for about 3 months, and I love it! I'm 18, and I've lost almost 25 pounds! I'll be your buddy, if you'd allow it!! :thumbsup2

Hi Danielle! I just read your post. It sounds a little like me. I've struggled with my weight all my life. It started when I came out of the womb. :rotfl:
I decided to doing something about it for me. I'm on a low calorie / low fat lifestyle change. I've been working out too. I do the treadmill & weights. My self esteem has been in the toilet way too long. I also want to feel better about myself. I like your idea of being buddies. Maybe we can be each other's buddies? What do you think? This way we both have someone to lean on if we need it. Let me know. I look forward to hearing from you. Good luck on your journey!

Hi everyone! Maybe I should start off with a little bio.........I think there are about 7 of us, yeah I think that is what Danielle said.........
anyway, I am a 34 year old full time student(nursing), mom of 3, wife, and trying to work a little in the hospital............whew, just saying it all wears me out! I am totally infatuated(did I spell that correct?) with all things Disney.....since I am in my junior year at school(one more semester and it will be my senior-FINALLY), disney has toned down a little, but it will be back full force soon........already trying to plan the graduation trip next Oct/Nov.
Anyway, back to the reason I am here! I need to loose 40-50lbs. I would love to loose 50, but I will see how I feel getting through it all. I am currently at 175.5, and my weigh in day will stay at Monday. I started the meetings, but decided to throw those out the window..........too much on my schedule already and decided I could do a lot more with the $40/month if I start saving it and put it towards a new wardrobe when finished:)
Tomorrow/the next 2 weeks actually will be VERY difficult for me. Tomorrow we are having 5 families over for a BBQ, then Saturday another BBQ with my sons TBall team that DH coaches, then that night the Cardinals game......then 7/11 which is Wednesday we leave for a 4 night trip to Branson with Brother and his family........my goal for the next two weeks is not to loose so much but is to not gain! Ok, I think that is about it-I cannot wait to get to know everyone! I so look forward to the support, DH is not any help-he does try but then asks to go out for ice cream-what??? Anyway, this will work for us!

Happy 4th all!

Thanks for letting us get to know you Amy! It does seem you have a full schedule so kudos to you for making this fit into it somehow!! :thumbsup2 I think that you'll be surprised on how well you will do these next two weeks, even with all your activities coming up! Keep us posted!

Confession : last night I ate to slices of pepperoni roll that we had here. UGH! I was just so hungry all of a sudden and thats what I chose to ate. I was under my points but I'm mad at myself that I didn't choose the cucumbers I have cut up in the fridge, or the 3 different kinds of fruit.

If anyone can think of a name for us, I'll start a new thread and we can all hang out there. I have an hour drive to the inlaws today so maybe I can rattle something off on my way there.

I have to say that all of you wonderful ladies are an inspiration to me and everytime I want to chuck it, I think of you guys! Thanks for being my Buddy!

HAPPY FOURTH

Im right there with you...

lets go!! :goodvibes

Welcome DisneyPrncess!!! Hope you enjoy our little thread and congrats on making the decision to W.I.S.H!!!

Have you ever done WW before? If you don't mind me asking, how much are you wanting to loose?

We can do this together!

Hey there

I posted another thread explaining myself i guess lol. But I have done weight watchers before, i lost 20lbs on it actually- but then college forced me to gain it all back :( Boooo those late night pizzas! haha

I wanna lose about 20 lbs before i go to wdw in sept for my bday...so im really hoping with all the help on here i can do that!

Its funny- when i think about eating something bad i think about everyone on here reaching for the same goal and figure "if they can not eat it, so can i!!"

:cheer2: YAY!

Sorry I didn't see your other thread! :sad2:

I think your goal is a great one! And I totally agree about thinking of us girls when tempted by something we maybe shouldn't eat! Thats why I wanted a buddy system in the first place. DH would just say "if you want it, eat it" but I know my buddies on here would say "do you need it and how many points is it??"

You girls are great! Monday is weigh in day for me so we'll see how this week went. Confession, I didn't do the excercises like I should've. I did one day and that was it. I feel so bad about but I guess all I can do is stop feeling guilty and start feeling motivated, right? Keep me updated on all your progress girls so we can keep cheerring each other on!:cheer2:

Not one pound lost. I'm so disappointed but I can't say that I didn't see it coming. :sad1:

I'm going to have to budget in WW online somehow. We are just sooo strapped right now that its hard but I think I need some updated material and some receipe ideas. Sigh.

Here is the quote for the week. Its a funny (and if any of you ladies are in politics or people you love are, its meant as no offense!) http://workinghumor.com/quotes/diet.shtml#

Post with your updates! I don't want our thread to die, that would be sad!!! And I NEED MY BUDDIES!!! :yay:

You are not the only one in the boat Danielle-I have stayed the same.......but for me it's more of a "whew", I did not gain anything! I did try to not "stuff" myself at the 2 BBQ's we had, which I think really helped........also, no alcohol at all......DH wondered who I was! :rotfl2: I am in no way an alcoholic-I am a social drinker though, it really is the only time I will drink and after realizing how many calories were in one lousy bottle-not worth my time. Now comes the BIG issue-Wednesday am we leave for Branson. I am packing a lot of food since we are staying in a condo, and trying to be very cautious of what I pack, but I know we will be eating out and at the parks.......
BTW Danielle, if you go to the WW site and subscribe (free) to the weekly newsletters, you will get recipes sent to you in the newsletter every week....or if you want I can forward them to you (PM me your email). I also get the WW magazine which was about $10 to recieve that has reciepes.....if you know how to get the points, then you can really customize any recipe you have-it just takes some time! Let me know what I can help with, I am here:)
