Wanting to do T-REX

I waited too late to get an ADR for T-REX. I am hoping for an evening time on 5/20. How often should I attempt to find a spot in hopes of someone else cancelling?? Anyone have any advise, new to the forum.

I have been trying to get in there, too, for the past month and a half for a reservation anytime between May 23-28, dinnertime, and no luck except for a 9:00pm, which is too late. I haven't tried in a couple of weeks because I made other plans, but occassionally when I think about it, I'll try again. Good luck!

I have heard that people have had better luck getting ADRs at T-Rex when they call the restaurant directly rather than going through Disney Dining...not sure if you already tried that...worth a shot!

Yes, you have to call. They only make a certain number of reservation available via the internet and WDW-DINE.

Yes you absolutely can - we've done that before. I'd highly recommend calling them directly. We were able to get reservations less than 2 weeks out last year.

The only time that having the DDP matters when making ADRs is for the pre-paid experiences (Cinderella's Royal Table, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Spirit of Aloha, and Mickey's Backyard Bar-b-que). For those, having the DDP connected to the ADR simply changes the prepay to a CC guarantee*. For any other ADRs, it doesn't matter as they handle that stuff at the restaurant when you're there.

*As a note, even if you book without DDP connected, you can still pay with the plan and get the prepay refunded when you pay the bill at the restaurant/event.
