Wanting the member back pack bag...

I was on a mission to find a nice backpack for our trip while I was at WDW. I never found one that I liked. I carried around the member tote that I got when I joined. It's nice, but now that we're without a stroller, it's a killer on the shoulders.

When I made a brief stop by one of the DVC info. locations in Epcot, he mentioned that there was a member backpack available. I called my guide and followed the leads he gave me (to the stores at BW and OKW). They had heard of them and said they didn't any more. I guess these were not on display, but only available if you asked about them. I understand it's the same bag that is currently (or was recently) being given to new members.

Does anyone have a clue about these bags and how I might get one?

LOL, lora!! we were on the same mission. our guide tried to get us one, but no luck. i guess those of us who are add-ons at SSR don't get one, just new members.

I saw several people with these backpacks last week during our vacation. Have you actually seen them in person? They are HUGE! I don't know how comfortable they'd be carrying them around all day long........

Thanks. I hadn't seen the bag before. It was just described to me. I did a search on ebay for it yesterday, but didn't find anything using dvc - should have used the full name, I guess.

bidding war?! who knows. the one we saw was not like the one on ebay. the one we saw was blue like the DVC vans w/the words Disney Vacation Club written in white on it.

Blue with white lettering? Is this a different backpack?

I've never seen white lettering.

I must say, $40, Wow! I gave one of mine away a few months ago for nothing.

I have seen these bags go for $35 plus shipping on eBay quite a few times. The price of $40 for bag that I sold for included UPS and that will cost from $7-8 so take that into consideration...

Disney Queen,
There is another backpack that is navy canvas with the DVC logo embroidered on it in all the colors and the words "Disney Vacation Club" embroidered in white. I know because I bought a brand new one on Ebay for a very reasonable price (I think $16) within the last 6 months. Have never seen another one tho. Good luck!!

The leather canvas backpacks most everyone is talking about I have seen go for anywhere between $30-50 on Ebay plus shipping. The one I have is just canvas with embroidery but I really like it. I did get a good deal on it!!
