Wanting a lower fare

I have already booked my roundtrip online with Southwest. However, it appears on the website that my same exact itinerary is cheaper now that it was when I booked. So my question is what is the best way to rebook for the lower fare without the risk of losing the flights that I have? Should I just cancel and rebook? Or should I try changing the reservation even though I'm not changing dates or flight? I hope I didn't make it sound confusing. :confused3

It depends on the exact fare class you have and what you're switching to. Try to change your iteniary, it might work. If not open up 2 browser windows, right before you have to pay for your new reservation cancel your existing reservation in the other window. Use the ticketless funds to pay for your new reservation.

I just did this last night! I had Susan at SW walk me through it and she wasn't even sure at first. She knew we didn't want to cancel my 8 tickets so she had me go into Travel Center, select Change Air Reservation, put in my original Confirmation # and C.C. Holder's Name, and follow the screens after that, being sure not to change ANY of our flight info. (pick your same date, time and the flight # should be the same). If it is available the same flight will be selectable. Re-book it. Your credit should come up on the next screens. If you're not confident call SW and they will walk you through it. Susan celebrated along with me on the phone. She was amazed at how much I had saved after she double checked my reservations. I went from a Ding! rate to an Internet Only rate and Susan wasn't able to see the $49 special I was getting on the internet.

I got this e-mail last night and I went into the Click & Save specials and put my dates in and they were available :cool1: . WE SAVED $236.80 ON 8 TICKETS FOR AUGUST. I was so siked! Our round trip air went from $146.50 each to $116.90 each FOR 8 TICKETS!!!

:cheer2: I LOVE YOU DISBOARDS!!!! :disrocks:

I think I done good for our first trip to Orlando. I have saved so much money and gotten the inside track on Orlando. I just can't believe how much I've learned this past year! Thank you all! Now I can really relax!
