Seriously considering trying this one for our upcoming September trip. I would love to see your pics of the food and interior, and also hear about your personal experiences. I have searched the food porn thread, but there just isnt alot of biergarten info. TIA!!

I dont have pics handy but our experience has been good 3 out of last 4 times. DD13 and I go there while DS and DW go to San Angel. It is a buffet meal with authentic German food. Lots of salad type items to choose from. Sausages with kraut, red cabbage, spietzel(I think thats how you spell it) chicken schnitzel(that is really good) and many other items. Then theres the dessert area. I usually am too full to really enjoy the desserts but when I have had them, MMMMMMM!

You set at tables with other people unless your crowd is big enough to occupy a whole table. Usually tables sit around 8 people. A band plays every hour German music. Make sure to see them, it is all part of the festiveness of this place.

I would go for dinner. There seems to be a bit more to choose from the buffet than at lunch.

Enjoy!

My dh dragged me there in January and we loved it! The food was great and the atmosphere was better. I will say that I *love* red cabbage and sausage so it was not difficult for me to find lots to like.

I was just asking the kids last night if they wanted to do Biergarten again. The answer was a resounding YES!

It really is good food and great atmosphere. The only way I can imagine someone not liking it is if they aren't crazy about meats. However, there is a nice "salad" bar with German style salads so even a vegetarian should be happy.

We really like it and highly recommend it...especially if you have never tried German food. Also, the beer sampler is very good! :)

We've gone ther every year!! It's fun to meet others at your table! They have music and dancing. One time I was out dancing with one of my DD's and and the end of the song I was asked to be in a contest along with 2 other adults. What kind of contest you ask? A yodeling contest! Well, the only time I ever yodeled was when I would watch Snow White with my DD's, at the part where Snow White is dancing with the dwarfs! Guess what- I won!! It was a great time. :lmao:

Our DS was 2 on our last trip. He didn't move a muscle during the show and my DD then 6 ate every bite of her meal. They loved the food and the music, the staff was soooo friendly and we sat with the nicest honeymooners. They were awesome! We will be going back in 2007!

I don't have pics but I've been there 4x and we are going back again this trip. I have picky eaters and we found plenty to eat and it was good. The show is fun. You do sit at tables with other guests and that has always worked out for us too.

We ate there last time. It was very good (sausages, potatoes, beer) The boys in my party were nuts over it =)

I wanted to choose something different this time (Ive only been to wdw once, soo many places that we havent experienced) but my husband would not have any of that.

I ended up planning my entire itenerary around getting is to Biergarten!

I was. It wasn't as extensive a buffet as Boma, but there certainly was plenty for me to eat. I had more cold food than hot, but I did have potatoes and spaetzle. Of course, it's great to eat cold stuff on a hot day in Florida.

I think the lack of pics is due to the fact that it's dark inside, giving a nighttime atmosphere like San Angel in the Mexico pavilion. I haven't seen many food pics from there, either. The show was very pleasant and festive, and we had a good time. DH really enjoyed his 1-liter beer.

My whole family loved it!

We ate there on 6/30 for lunch. My dad is Austrian and the foods I tried tasted just like what my grandma used to make and what my mom used to make that were my dad's favs growing up. Yummy if you like Bavarian food!!!

I actually avoided the Biergarten on our first couple of trips because of some of the bad reviews. When we finally went I was pleasantly surprised. It was great food and great entertainment. You do sit at a table of eight so please be prepared to sit with other people if you don't have enough to fill a table. We knew this and quite enjoy/look forward to conversing and meeting new friends but on one occasion the family we sat with very obviously did not like to sit with strangers. When being seated they said to the waitress "do we have to sit with them...can't we sit alone?" The entire time we sat there with this family they barely said two words to us and it was a tad uncomfortable! I don't think I look like a serial killer....do I? :rotfl:

Anyways, don't let my one experience stop you from trying it.....we still go and enjoy the food, the atmosphere, and hopefully will get seated by people who don't think we're disease infested  Do u think it's because we're from Canada? :rotfl2:
