Hi everybody. I apologize if this thread/theme has been posted before.

I am Disney crazy and I admit it. We have moved from TX to SC and now that the World is half a days drive away I can't stop thinking about going. As a matter of fact I've gone twice this summer already! I've gone with my family and with my best friend. I'd like to go back but they're all burnt out. :sad1:

I'd like to think of this as a travel buddy wanted ad!!:rotfl:

***Happily married 36 yr old stay at home wife/mother with a ginormous infatuation with Walt Disney World. If I'm not in the planning stages of my next trip then I'm in some serious depression! I wanted to see who here was a FAN-atic and may be interested in traveling and or seeing the parks together. I'd like to see the parks decorated for Christmas, without the Christmas crowds. So maybe November/early December?

I am a rope drop/park opener with a small afternoon break followed up with park closings. I love extra magic hours and stay until 3 a.m. if open that long. I have stayed at Pop and Coronado and prefer the moderate but would be willing to try any others. (I can get 40% off rooms) I usually eat breakfast in my room, quick service meals in the parks with an occasional table service or sometimes a meal at my resort. Character meals aren't my thing but if the line is short enough for a picture with one, I'm all for it! :)

I obsess over my plans but am very flexible once I get there....the ocd is just a guideline :)
Epcot is my fave with Magic Kingdom an extremely close second, followed by either of the other 2. I don't do the water parks just because we have water parks in my town I can do at other times. I like doing Downtown Disney on my arrival night or the day I check out of hotel. Usually a meal and most of my shopping.

Any questions shoot me an email :) I am only seeking adult female travel companions who can keep up with this (boot camp) er..I mean fun type of vacationpirate: The more, the merrier! Please no party animals or grouches....I'm very outgoing and love to have fun and have a great sense of humor and one mean theme park pace/walk/run!

:welcome: to the boards...

You have come to the right space...

Just keep combing the threads... there's alot of Disers local and out of town who will be there on your time frame !!!

I live in Fort Worth and will be solo in WDW Dec 2-11, staying in Villas at Wilderness Lodge.

I'm a 36 year old female, single, no kids. So unless I take family members the majority of my trips are solo.

Can't wait to experience the magic of the holidays in the most Magical Place on Earth.

Hi ya Capricorn....

Your travel dates sound like a great time to go. I'd love to see the Disney holiday-ness. Do you know if they have all the decor up by then?

I don't think I'm suited for a solo trip, I'd be talking to myself about something awesome I just saw and people would be afraid and parents would hurry their kids away from me! lol

LOL Stich, I do the same thing! I come home from vacation and sleep for about 3 days straight. My feet hurt, my back hurts, my legs hurt, and on and on and on.

Good luck! I hope you find someone suitable! Capricorn 19 sounds like she would be up for it!!

Thanks :) Have a great trip on your first solo! :thumbsup2

Hey,

I've never been during the holidays, but it is my understanding decorations magically appear Thanksgiving night and are added over the next few nights. So I'm sure there will be more lights, Silver Bells, and Christmas Trees then you could ever imagine in your life. LOL!

What days do you think you might make it down. I was lucky enough to get a seat at CP to see Whoopi on 12/3 and I'm going to MVMCP on 12/6.

Then on 12/8 I'm doing a couple of tours at Animal Kingdom.

Talk to ya soon.

Sounds like a fantastic trip you've got planned! My dates are pretty flexible. Sometime after thanksgiving but before Christmas crowds. I'd like to see MVMCP for sure! But what is CP?

And what tours are you taking in AK? I've never done any of them.

Originally we had planned a big Thanksgiving trip, but had to cancel it. When I decided I still wanted to go I really didn't want to fight the holiday crowds so I decided the best time was the first full week of December (hope I'm right). LOL

I'm excited to go to the MVMCP, if nothing else just to see it snow on Main Street.

CP is Candlelight Processional (Held at Epcot, a mass choir, joined by a 50-piece live orchestra and a celebrity narrator, tell the story of Christmas in words and music, in a very moving performance. Performances are held at the America Gardens Theatre.) The narrator the night I'm going is Whoopi Goldberg.

I've taken several tours in the past, but never any at Animal Kingdom, so I decided to try a couple of those this time. I'm doing Backstage Safari and Wild Africa Trek. I've already booked Backstage Safari, but Wild Africa Trek isn't available to book until October, so here's hoping they will still offer it for December.

Talk to ya soon.

I am also a "fanatic"!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney. I have been a DVC member for 16 years and go at least once a year, sometimes three times!

I live in Iowa, so I always look for cheap flights and GO!!! Just booked a trip today November 5 through November 11!!!! Got airfare through Continental for $197, which is super good for Des Moines to Orlando!!!

My daughter is studying in the Netherlands this fall, so will be gone for four months! Just recently went through a divorce in the past year!!! So I decided a solo trip would be a good idea!!!!

Of course, as soon as I let my niece and a few friends know I was going...I may not be alone after all, which is fine with me.

I am/will be looking for travel buddy/buddies in the future...or even for this trip. Disney is always more fun if shared with those who know "how to do Disney", if you know what I mean.

I'm going to be in Disney December 4-12. This is my 2nd solo trip. I'm super excited! I'm one to prefer mostly traveling alone, however I'm willing to meet up one or two days if our travel dates will overlap....

So my solo/travel buddy trip has turned into my husband coming along. Now don't get me wrong, he's the best, but he's not Disney CRAZY like me or like some travel buddies I might've met. To quote him, "I don't mind going back to Disney if that's where you're determined to go." and always this, "I like Disney, just not as much as you."
I don't think he liked the idea of me going alone so he's coming along to carry my stuff & listen to me oooh and aaaah. :confused3

How do you say, thanks but I'd like to experience WDW with other FAN-atics who "get it"? Hah.

So anyone going Dec. 12-17 who wanna drink around the world or have dinner, l'd ...er, we'd love to meet ya! ;)

I'm game and so are a couple of my girlie girls.

Bear in mind, we work in the hospitality industry and have children in school, so we have to go in the off-season (which is generally better anyway). We love Disney and have the ability to go a lot more alone than we could as a family.

PM me- can't guarantee anything but hey, I'm up for a trip every now and then. And we live in Georgia, so we are even closer to the mouse!
