WANTED: Ideas For A Fun/Clever Way To Tell The Kids They Are Going To Disneyland!

Yep, I recorded it. It ended up being about a 10 minute video. I just wanted to make sure I captured the moment of realization.

So excited to hear of your kids surprise! We are planning a trip as a surprise for DD. She has no idea and we have not told anyone either for fear they may let it slip. WE are going to pull her out of school early and have a town car waiting. WE're going to tell her the nice man will take her anywhere she wants to go. I know she will say DL because she always asks me where I would go if I have a million dollars. She even asked if a magic cab pulled up to our house could she go to DL. It's been VERY hard planning and making PSs. I love that your kids are making the count down chains. WE did those on our last trip!! When are you all finally going??

ballarinamom, that sounds like a fun surprise for your daughter, getting pulled out of school and all. Hopefully she really will say "Disneyland."

sahbushka, I get teary over reading about strangers' disneyland surprises, too. It was a magical moment, not soon to be forgotten. You're right...my 3 year old was a little more concerned with how many chocolate coins he could stuff in his mouth, rather than paying attention to what was going on with the puzzle. He definitely took advantage of no one paying attention to how many coins he was eating.

We are taking our que from the birthday commercial. I went to the Disney store in Orem on Satuday bought sweatshirts, t-shirts, plush toys (Woody doll for DS3 and Minnie for DD2), oldest DD7 gets tinkerbell jewlery and a few other trinkets. I will box all the items as well as few Disney themed helium balloons. 2 days before we are to leave, a box will be waiting at grandmas house for them to open. Inside will be a note from Mickey and friends telling them he can't wait to see them. Going to video tape the whole thing. This will be their first trip and I can't wait to see their excited faces!
