Want/Trade/Exchange ADRs -question?

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to give an ADR I have to another DISer?

I have an Ohana reservation that I am trying to give someone, but it needs to be changed to her name because I want rebook something in it's place and do not want to make myself double booked by keeping the ADR we no longer need in my name and linked to my reservations.

I have seen some posters here say that they called the dining line and had the reservation switched to the other person's name and phone # but I called three different times and all three of the CMs told me changing the name and number is not allowed, it has to be canceled and rebooked.

Can anyone who has successfully traded or given ADRs to others tell me the best way of going about this? Thanks!

I just recently picked up a ressie from a Disser who cancelled theirs and I picked it up. The best way would probably be to have the other person contact you by phone offline and both of you get on WDW online dining at the same time and when you hit cancel, they hit search with all the specifics regarding location, number in your party, etc. and they pick up the ressie you cancelled. That would probably be the easiest. It's a little bit of work on both people's parts. Does that make any sense, lol

I had found a res that I really want ed. We set a time for the
lady to cancel. I tried to get it , but no luck . It didn't ever
show up. There is a chance that it will work, but not in my case.
