Hi! I am hoping for any advice regarding this dilemma. We are at Disneyland today and tomorrow, and we pulled fastpasses for gotg today that are valid from 8:40 - 9:40. We really wanted to try to watch the fireworks tonight, but I'm not sure that we would be able to find a decent spot if we used our fast pass right at 8:40 and then tried to head over to Disneyland and up Main Street with the parade running. Any advice on this situation would be much appreciated. We are a family of 6, with four kids. Thank you!

The only thing you can do is try to use the FP at 8:35 and hope you get the through the line and are able to get through the DL gates before the fireworks are done. Or not use the FP and try to get a better time tomorrow. I would not have pulled that FP if I thought there was a chance I would want to watch the fireworks.

I would get to GotG 10 minutes early, your FP will activate 5 minutes early and it might take a few minutes to get to the scan point. If everything goes smoothly you should be able to get to the hub before the parade ends. After the parade ends they will open up the street for fireworks viewing and it's a free for all so you should be able to get a spot.

Thank you so much for the replies! Yes, I knew that the fast pass time was not the best, but we spent the morning in Disneyland and grabbed the fast passes before we left the parks for a nap because the kids REALLY wanted to go on the ride today. I was aware that it might not work, but if there is a possibility we will try! Thanks again!

This doesn't always work, so take this with a grain of salt. The next time you pull FPs with return times that conflict with something in your schedule, e.g. meal reservation, ask a CM at the machines for help. Sometimes the CM can manually write down a later or earlier time for you (not by much, but enough to ease your dilemma). It can't hurt to ask, but you have to do it at the time you get the FPs.

Can they still do this with the FPs now being electronic?

CMs have told me that the plaids at the information kiosks can help, if leads/managers at the rides don't help first. With the ability to check return times on the app and more people checking return times since they are now enforced, CMs have said that the conflicting return time issue hasn't been as big a problem as it was before.
