Want to see the biggest moth I've ever seen?

My dd (4) found this today on our tree. We've hesitantly identified it as a Waved Sphinx moth. It has a wingspan of at least 4 inches and has very prickly feet!

This is the moth on my son's hand (he is 7 years old).

Here is a closeup of the moth on MY finger (so you can see the size of him!)

And another one (he's looking at you!).

That's one heck of a moth! It kinda reminds me of the moths in The Silence of the Lambs though.

Have you ever seen a Lunar Moth? They are as big as some birds/bats!
