Want to Make Sure Using Points Correctly ...

here is the run down ... June UY ... Have used all 2007 points ... have borrowed some 2008 and currently have 244 left in 2008.

This is what I want to do ... please let me know if I am correct in my thinking.

1. Make reservations now for May 2008 trip using 94 pts ... would leave 150 points in 2008.

2. In mid January make reservations for December 2008 trip ... would take up the rest of the 2008 points and at this point could I borrow into 2009??? This is what I'm not sure about. It just seems too good to be true ... LOL This reservation is the most important one I'm making since we will have our DS's with us and that doesn't happen often now with them being older so I don't want to mess this up and not be able to make this reservation. We simply won't make the May 2008 trip if it messes this December trip up. Am I making any sense???

3. In March 2008 make reservations for August 2008 trip ... would be borrowing from 2009 again but still leave us over 200 points in that UY.

We just have a very busy time coming up in 2008 ... 4 trips to WDW is just magical.

Thanks for any advice you can give me ... and if I'm in the wrong place to ask this questions I apologize.

Your December '08 trip will be in your '08 UY and you can borrow from your '09 UY to go on it. You're OK with the other trips as well, as long as there are the '09 points to use.

I agree about how much fun it is to share WDW/DVC with grown children, and December is a great time to do it in!!!

My only question is on # 3. Why are you waiting until March to book an August vacation? Your best bet in getting the reservation you want is to book as early as possible, according to the booking rules.

If you're going to your home resort, you can reserve this trip in September. If you're going to another resort, you can book it in January.
