Want to help me plan a trip?

We went this past fall 10 or 11 nights, and cut back the # of days in the park to 7. Then through in MMNSSS and seaworld and we still had park overload.

Suggestions -
Get park hoppers, plan around magic hours and plan on coming back to the camper for naps when at the Kingdom or at epcot. It's hard to do over/back/over for animal kingdon, so may want to plan AK early back nap the late at MK.

if cash is not a problem, but the 10 day no expire, parkhopper base ticket. We think the kids are to small for the water play, plus we have one less than a mile from house. This way, if you want to blow off a day and hang, resort hop or what ever, you don't feel obligated to go.

if you plan on going to halloween party, eat an early dinner and you can get into the park like 4 or 5.. (:-) then be prepared for short lines and boat load of candy.

My suggestion would be to drop another park day, just to spend hanging out and relaxing at the campground. The days go by sooo fast at Disney, and, being the veteran at it that you are...you know that most people try to cram 2 days of activity into every day they are there...forgetting to chill out and relax and enjoy THEMSELVES instead of only enjoying DISNEY.

be sure to hit the campfire with the little ones, theres nothing a kid likes more than a parent allowing them to set a marshmellow on fire....er, I mean...roasting marshmellows!!;)

Welcome to the camping boards:hippie:

I totally agree with Rog's suggestion,,:thumbsup2 and by all means bring a couple of fish'n poles and a box of worms,,take your little ones fishing. You can fish at the lake , canal, stream, etc ,,without a fishing license,,on Disney property. Your kids will love it,,and how many times do you spose someone can say, "I went to Disney World and caught a fish !"

And bring your camera.

Another free thing that my daughter loves to do, is feeding the ducks and fish. Go buy alot of cheap bread before you get there. And we did this daily, sometimes twice a day, we even gave to other children when they came up so they could join the fun.. Just hoping on the cart and head to the beach and boat area, its pretty fun. Fishing too, don't forget it is allowed and the kids enjoy it. My daughter is still a little young for it, but she loves going fishy fishy fishy and throwing lines in. The best place is at the beach end it has a little area back there at loop 300 which is where to always try to stay. Remember your not supposed to drive back there.

I really miss the petting zoo!! And River Country.... :)

I go in July with my whole insane family on 4 sites.. But its so worth it and I grew up going July 4th week every year until I was like 15. And now I am giving that to my daughter minus the July 4th part ;)

What time is "rope drop"? Is this the time when you can actually enter the park if you already have your ticket? Many years ago they published the park opening times but would really let you in early. Do they still do this?

All awesome suggestions as usual. Resort hopping is FUN. Take your little ones on the monorail and be sure to ask to sit up front with the driver. They usually get co pilot licenses. Great souvenirs. Also, take the boat over to Contemporary and go play at the arcade. For $20 or less, you can play some games, with help the little ones can do this, then take your tickets over and pick out some fun toys at the redemption counter. Watching the monorail breezing thru the building never gets old. Also, there is a penny machine just outside the arcade that creates some great tokens.
Don't forget to look for hidden Mickeys too. This is a ton of FREE fun. There's an ongoing list you can find on allears. com.
Also, a short walk down the trail between the Fort and WL near the stables is relaxing and you might see some deer. I know with kiddies that young you can't go too far, but it's a very pleasant and calm walk. It's a hard surface trail, perfect for bikes and walking. Then there's the pool with an area perfect for your kids to play in.
There's a nice playground right by 300 loop too. And don't forget to checkout the Trading posts. Lots to look at.
Have a fabulous time, great time to visit in Sept. and Oct. :thumbsup2

Great suggestions, although I don't think we will be fishing. My kids have inherited my impatience. They want instant gratification.:)

We have a 3 year old grand daughter and we just got back from an eight day stay camping. We were in the 1300 loop for the first time and we think we have found a new favorite. We have always staid before in the 300 loop since DH loves to fish. Our DGD went for her first pony ride and we found out that the white ponies are the ones that pull Cinderellas carriage for the bride to be. She was in heaven. We also love the BBQ. Just a waring it fills up fast and is only on Thursday and Saturday nights. We are blessed to be Florida residence so we have Florida residence passes. We also have a golf cart that we put in the back of our truck and really love it glad we dotn have to rent one any more. DGD loves the pool, playground and just riding her tricycle. So I would definatly plan on spending more days at the fort.
