My microwave was a brute... the table that MC provided did quite nicely. Just make sure you have it in the very center of the table and you should be just peachy.

I got Box 1 of 1 for each event yesterday... so it is all good.

Will do - would not be fun if that table crashed! I'm still going to try to make a half-table today if I get my butt in gear and away from the computer.

:woohoo: Finally received approval from Daniel to do a double Saturday at Meijer for the Salute to Savings. I’m working 10:00 - 1:30 and 2:00 - 5:30. His email specifically said not to work more than 3 ½ hours at each event. If my 2nd kit doesn’t arrive tomorrow, I’ll be able to use any extra coupons at the store they were intended for. If I do get a 2nd kit, I’ll probably use some at the other 3 WM’s I’m doing this event at. After this run of Salute to Savings, I only have 3 other events.

I am just taking one of our house card tables that we use for guest. That is just a lot of stuff to demo. plus a microwave:scared1:

Diced Tomatoes and Chicken Noodle Soup Event at WM on 10/11 (Thurs) from 3:00 - 7:00. Required a Crock Pot. This was only at a couple of stores here.

This is showing up at several stores here and also Hawaiian Ham & Cheese Sandwich at ST for 10/15 and 10/18.

I have 5 events now for October so I'm happy, two of them are 6 hour events so that makes me even happier. :)

I have a question, when do they usually upload the event instructions? I have an event on Monday that has no instructions as of yet...but I have an event that isn't until October that already has instructions. :confused3

Also, if I remember correctly in reading this thread, we get a 30 minute break for a 6 hour event. Can someone with SPI tell me if I'm remembering correctly? Thanks. :)

Yes, 30 min break on 6 hr event. :thumbsup2

I want some of the events you are all listing. Only thing here is all the 10/14 Target cinn cereal events that no one is taking. And I want a SuperTarget & a WinnDixie. lol

I don't think there is much hope of you getting a Winn Dixie unless you move a little further south but we can keep our fingers crossed for the Super Target fairy to visit you! :rotfl:

I have another question, well, not really a question but I'd like some opinions on something. For the chicken noodle soup/fire roasted tomatoes event we have to have a crockpot. I have one, no problem there but it's huge and the instructions say to just heat one can of soup at a time. So, I have this small crockpot, really small but I think it's big enough for a can of soup. I've never used it, it came as a free gift with the big one. Do you think it would work? It'd sure be a lot easier than lugging that big one when we can only do one can at a time anyway! Maybe I will pull it out tomorrow and heat a can of soup and see how it does. :)

Not sure how big is really big for you... But I would heat up 2 cans at a time, last time I used a crock pot to cook in, It took almost an hour to get the soup hot enough to serve... but if your crock pot is way to big maybe one can at a time would be fine..

What's up with these 3-7... That's really hurting me... Not sure I can do a 3-7.. I am used to thursday events 11-4... I would hate to lose my weekday events.... Hope they change them back soon...

Princess Michelle - I too have a large crock pot and I think it would take a long time to heat soup up in it. I also have a Rival Hot Pot Express that holds 32 oz. of liquids and is designed for heating up soups, water, etc… We bought it to take on vacation 15 years ago to heat up our daughter’s bottles and jars of food in the hotel. I just tried it and it seems to still work. Heated up water in a couple of minutes. I’m going to start the demo using the hot pot and take the crock pot as a back up.

Last night I tried one of the bowls of Warm Delights Minis to gage time with my microwave and see how it was. For my 700watt microwave, 32 seconds seems to be right. Actually, they taste pretty good. The fudge part is really hot even after a couple of minutes out. Definitely take a small pair of scissors to open the packages. Also, there is a coupon inside the box good for $.75 off a purchase of two boxes (regular or minis).

Thanks! :goodvibes

I have the same set and I use the little one all the time for hot dips for chips. It heats much faster than the big one and I think a can of soup would be about perfect size.

I was wondering about heating one can of soup in the crockpot also. I think my crockpot is 3 1/2 quart. One can of soup is just going to sit in the bottom and not get hot. I also thought it was comical that the instuctions said it would be ready to serve in ten minutes.:rotfl: I think I'm going to have to see if I can borrow one of those smaller crock pots. I think My DSIS has one. I also like the idea of maybe using a hot pot to speed up the heating.
I'm liking these 3-8 events. I have two booked now. For me, it means I can do my usual volunteer work at the school library on Thursday morning and also work an event.:)

I've only used a crockpot for one soup event. I remember testing it at home to see how long WATER took to get hot. Then found out SOUP takes alot longer to heat up while at the store.

A smaller crockpot will make the soup fill higher into the pot thus warming faster ---assuming yours heats from the sides (not the bottom) like mine does. Also easier to scoop out. Make sure the small one is just as powerful as the big one though or you'll be waiting all day for it to warm.

First thing when you get there.....PLUG IN THE CROCKPOT & GET IT GOING WHILE SETTING UP TABLE!!!! It takes a LONG TIME.

I could be dreaming, but I think we did soup another time & used a microwave. :confused3

Also (for the newbies who might not have read), wet paper towels in a ziploc for cleaning; duct tape to tape extension cord to the floor; nite lite to test outlet before you set up & find out outlet doesn't work & you need to move; something to put spoons in like a small basket or a cup they can stand in SPOON SIDE DOWN / HANDLE SIDE UP ( I use a set of 2 black plastic baskets from Dollar Tree for the napkins & utensils).

Make use of the top of your microwave & the front of it. Display things there or use it for serving area.

Remember, we have a display contest on this one....so bring your camera!

Can anyone explain the QMOS sheet to me? I tried searching the thread, but no success. My info pack only gives a definition! I'm used to just purchasing product to sample at KMart. Thanks for your patience!!

Here is the exact text from Daniel's email in bold.

"I double booked you for the Salute to Savings event at Meijer. Please do the Westerville, OH first and your originally scheduled event second. Do them for 3.5 hours each. Do not go more than that. 10 - 1:30 and 2 - 5:30pm.

Thanks

Daniel"

I didn't get my second kit for tomorrow yet. Since I've got the same event on two off-dates and I have those kits, I'll use napkins and cups from them if necessary. What I'm short on is the Warm Delights. Are you buying less cereal and bars since the time is less. Also, if you have left over product are you taking it to your next event instead of leaving it at the store?

He is a very confusing lad, that daneil :rotfl2: I will follow your e-mail cause i like it better and I have to go to the Plymouth Whalers home opener tomorrow night at 7pm lol.

I am buying a few less... I did this event last weekend for 6 hours an NOBODY wanted the curves stuff anyways. I am keeping the extra product for the next event.

To help the Warm Delights last, don't dish them out.... make it and keep it in the microwave to stay warm, dish out as peole want them. Also bring Scissors to open the fudge packet and cake mix so you don't spill ;)
