I'm not sure but I know some wal-marts are open. Others are not. Depends on management. And some are open but have shorter hours etc...

I don't plan on working Thanksgiving as I'll be out of town seeing my family!

Fedex just arrived with boxes 1 and 2 of my Tassimo kit. Opened up the box to check out the machine and...YUCK!! :furious: Whomever used it last didn't clean it at all, and there's no cleaning disk. It's got dried up moldy cappuccino on it. Ewwwwwwww! What now? I am going to give it a good cleaning but is it ok to use? I e-mailed Daniel (who I did hear from btw) at SPi to see if he had any suggestions. Right now I wouldn't want to drink any coffee from it, though!

Thank you! I will let you know what I hear. Great! I called the 888 number and spoke to Rebecca. I booked one of the wine events for Debember 6th. It is the label one and it is $110 for 4 hours-wonderful! Has anyone done the wine label event with their laptop? It sounds like fun! She is e-mailing me my user id and password so I can now book events online. :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

I have one(1) of the label printing events... Are all these types $110?

Brivers or Drgnfly or anyone with ADP access who worked those ScotchBrite events......can you see IF or WHEN we'll be getting paid yet?

I was hoping to see a ck in mail yesterday, but nothing yet. I haven't gotten todays mail yet.

Not sure but that is what she told me before booking it. I think we get extra for using our own laptop.

ldb1030.....off-rate pay is always $8 less than regular pay.

So 5 hrs would be $62.
4 hrs would be $56

Maybe it's changed?! Robin with SPi sent this email:

Hello Lisa,
The pay for off date is $60 if you book it online.
Usually you will not get a kit since it's a last minute reschedule.
Thank you,
Robin

and it is a 5 hour event.

I think someone here has been given wrong info on off-date pay before from agency...and even there's turned out to be just $8 less.

IF THEY ARE REDUCING PAY....THEY NEEDED TO NOTIFY EVERYONE. So i'm going to guess since no one here has received anything from any agency, that its still just $8 less...and she's wrong.

I've done LOTS of offdates...and recent ones....and its been $8 less.

If you do get paid $60, please let us know....because I think we would all really like to know we got a cut in pay before we book the jobs.

Keep us informed, will ya. I'm curious.

Also, SPI sends out written PAY CHART to employees when we were hired. They WOULD need to notify us if reducing pay.

Also recvd two of my Tassimo boxes (and DH huge box for Chex Mix event).
Mine is missing the lid to the water reservior. Had to do some cleaning, not moldy but it had the cappucino residue, smelled like chocolate, and still had chocolate slime on the part that punctures the Tdisc/water spout thingie. Took it apart and it looks good now :thumbsup2

Might swipe the lid from store display when I demo.

Also, whoever had it last sent it on UPS right in the Tassimo box (instead of the packing box), it has the mailing label attached to it. Should I find this person and ask him "where's the lid?" :lmao:

yikes....they are sending you guys used machines? ick.
I can understand the mold & mildew factor. they were probably washed (slightly apparently) and boxed right back up with no time to dry out. And have been sitting in a warehouse since Sept like that.

ick.
Now i'm really glad i unbooked.

Yes, if I end up booking that date (need to change a teeth cleaning!), I'll be sure and let you know when I get paid for that event!

My event is off date, but the date is Nov 28 and the orginal date was Oct 19 I guess,,, They had time to mail me the kit, I signed up last week for it, They could have it here by Friday.... I hope... or at least by next monday..... I am driving an hour away for this one.... Was sad to see it was off date... Oh well....

Usually you won't get one no matter how much time you had from booking to event. I did an off date for Aveeno lotion back in sept. They had plenty of time to send the kit but told me they don't for "off dates". So I went ahead and did it AFTER purchasing my own bottle of lotion so people could try!
I had no samples to give so I thought "how am I going to get people to buy if they can't try"?! I figured I could use the rest of the lotion anyway so it was not a big deal buying it but would have been awful to stand there for 5 hours with no conversation starter!

Wow! I want to work for your agency!

This is from the pay chart they sent to me in April, and it's how I've been paid.

eBooked on date

4 hrs $56
5 hrs $70
6 hrs $84

eBooked off date

4hrs $48
5hrs $60
6hrs $72

So if you get $56 for 4 hrs off date, do you get $64 for original date? That's $16/hr!! :cheer2:

Oops, my bad on the 4 hr off date amount. Shouldn't do math in head or try to remember anything. Really should look stuff up. lol

5 hr on date is 14/hr x 5hrs = 70. less 8 for off date is 62.
4 hr on date is 14/hr x 4hrs = 56. less 8 for off date is 48.

That is not how they calculate it, but I've always been paid 62 for 5 hrs off date & 48 for 4 hrs off date. Don't know why they are paying you only $60. :confused3

I've gotten kits for just about all my off dates. It just depends how close to the event date I booked the job. Last event, they totally surprised me though. I did the event 3 days in a row...and ended up with 5 kits because I had booked & unbooked 2 of the stores to swap the dates. They rushed delivered 2 more kits (1 day & 2 day delivery) when they didn't even have too. I already had kits. I really wasn't expecting that.

I had originally booked the off dates I think 6 days before....and I received kits. (SPI)

I'm really trying to think if there is an event off or on date that I haven't received a kit. I'm sure there is one or two, but I was able to do event by using up supply of extra stuff I've been saving from demos. Cups, napkins..... Usually just means no poster or sign or brochure / coupons. I used a tableclothe if no posters.

Must just depend on who you talk to or who's sending out kits because I was told by All About Events they would not send them out off dates and did not receive them as they said.
Now today I'm told by Robin at SPi that they don't send them out either.
Guess there is no way to tell until the event day rolls around!
