Okay..I just discovered this Cricut machine and it looks amazing! I so want a Cricut!!!
I am located in Canada. Can anyone in Canada or the US (I will be in FL in a month) tell me where I can get a great price on this?
Any info. would be so appreciated! TIA

I am a little nervous buying on Ebay plus the shipping for Canada would be over $50 so it won't be worth it for me. Any other great places?

Also, can someone post a layout which is made with Cricut? How big is the font? I am looking at the basic Cricut machine not the Expression one. Thanks again,..

If you buy from a seller that has lots of positive feedback it should be safe. I have bought lots of stuff on ebay and I have never once had a problem, I am just always on the lookout for sellers with negative feedback.

I have never seen them cheaper than what i have seen on ebay. The shipping could be worth it if you could win an auction for cheap.

Just my opinion.

i have done quite a few layouts, but don't have any pictures. You should check out hte message board on the cricut website, they have lots of ideas on there.

Good Luck!

I have had mine for a while, so I am not sure who has the best deal (although AC Moore has a really good deal on the Expression usually), but as for the size of the font, you pick. I believe the little bug goes from 1 inch to 5 inches. You can "cheat" with some of the features and make it smaller and if you buy design studio, you can make in larger by rotating it. That is what makes it better than all of the older die cuts like cuttlebug and such.

I think it's important to make sure that potential buyers know that the Cricut does absolutely NOTHING by itself. You must have the cartridges (carts).

The machines usually come with 1-2 carts.

Additional carts run approx. $50-$90 depending on the sales that you can find.

Michaels, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's and Walmart are probalby the best places to buy --- but I don't know what types of stores you have in Canada.

I made a teacher appreciation gift recently w/ one of the carts. It's not a page, but you can see a lot of the shapes that you can make with the LockerTalk Cartridge

i'm also thinking of getting one and it will be much easier to get the regular cricut (as opposed to the expression) home. is there a huge amount of difference between the two apart from the size? I dont want to buy the little one then really end up regretting it but with posting it n stuff it'll be so much easier! xx

I bought my Cricut (the smaller ... or as it's called on the Cricut board a Baby Bug) last summer for $150 at A C Moore. I haven't seen it that cheap since ... I also never shop on ebay.
If you'd like to see some work done with it you can go to the Cricut website ... www.cricut.com and check out their message board. You can look under the cartridge exploration section and see all types of work done with the machine (maybe look at some of the Disney stuff).
I seriously never thought I'd get one because of the price but when it hit $150 I decided I'd go for it ... glad I did. There is no way I'll be buying and Expression for $300 +. I also refuse to pay full price for the cartridges ... right now all Cricut accessories are 50% off at A C Moore ... I buy stuff then.
