Want my son to meet princesses - what meal would your recommend?

I'd like my son, who will be 16 mos., to meet the princesses for a meal when we go for his first trip in Oct (1-7). He's such a little lady's man! Just wondering what meal you'd guys recommend I make an AD for. I think we're too late for Cindy's.

BTW - I'm a Snow White fan.

We did the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway at Epcot. We met Mary Poppins, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan and Snow White. The food was good, not GREAT; eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits maybe. We had seconds maybe even thirds(4 adults and 2yr old) Every princess spent more time than just sign, pic and go. We would do it again, DD loves Snow White too!

We also did the Storybook breakfast and the boys enjoyed it much better than Cindys.

We did Princess Storybook for dinner. My boys didn't hate it (they're certainly older than yours), and the atmosphere is nice. We met Jasmine, Aurora, Belle, Ariel, and Alice. Jasmine was very funny and teased by boys, and Aurora gave my DD a nice kiss on the cheek.

Remember that you are not guaranteed any princesses at the meal, so you can't rely on seeing a particular lady anywhere.

If you just want your little guy to meet some, you could also try the various countries in World Showcase. We saw Aurora and Belle in France, Jasmine in Morocco, Alice in England, and Snow White in Germany--all with very little or no wait. Alice, for instance was sitting down coloring at the Kidcot station in England. DD4 sat next to her and designed her mask. So there's not a real need to do an entire meal, especially with a little guy like yours, who depending on the day, might not be in the mood for such.

I second this recommendation. I would add that we have also seen Mulan in China and we have seen several of the princesses (at different times) near the International Gateway entrance to Epcot.

Breakfast with the princesses is expensive (although your 16 month old will be free) and crowded and the food is so-so, at best. Far better to find the princesses out in the park.

I'd recommend the breakfast. We took our 4yr old niece in October a few years ago. Finding princesses in the parks is pure luck most of the time. And no guarantees that you'll be there in time for the picture or that your son will be in "the mood" after you've waiting in a hot line.

We loved the breakfast. It was great that every princess came to YOU!! And, they were all very gracious about making sure we got every picture we wanted. I was definitely have camera issues that day!! They are very good at creating "moments".

The food was the best food we've ever eaten, but to me it wasn't about the food at all. I'm so happy we had decided to do this. It was worth every penny and just so relaxing compared to trying to race my niece over to get a spot in line to see a character.

There are schedules for when the princesses are out at the various countries, so the "luck factor" of seeing them can be removed. Also, the character lines at Epcot are almost never like thay are at MK, meaning much shorter lines, if any at all. Many, many times at the Epcot countries I have come upon the characters with no line at all.

I reiterate my previous comment that the breakfast is expensive, crowded and with mediocre food ("best food youv'e ever eaten" Seriously?) and I would not recommend the breakfast just to take a 16 month old who isn't even really going to know what is going on.

Last Dec at Akershus there was a little boy (about four y/o) next to us that was dressed as a knight. His sister was also there dressed as a Princess, but what stands out in my mind is how all the Princesses made such a big deal over this little boy being their Prince and how he made their hearts throb. They were really cute! If you do decide to take him to Akershus it might be cute to dress him up.

By the way Snow White was sick that day so we had Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, and Mulan. Belle did not circulate as she was in her gold dress and was available on the left just as you entered, for pictures only.

We liked both but at the Storybook Breakfast the princesses seemed to spend more time with us. We also saw them out and about in the park as well as when we saw their scheduled times listed in the park guide.
