Just found out today (for those NOT on the DDP or ones who can't get in):

Character dining is also offered at both the Hilton and Wyndham Palace on the Walt Disney World Resort property.

Hilton in Disney Village at Lake Buena Vista
Do not need to be a hotel guest
Walk in seating only
Characters vary daily

Wyndham Palace in Disney Village
Breakfast on Sunday’s only from 8 am to 11 am
Do not need to be a hotel guest
Walk in seating only

Obviously not DDP eligible, but thought it might help for some later planners if their kids will be heartbroken without a character meal!

Cafe at the Swan has character dining I believe.
