The kids and I used this week (spring break for us) to make our tie dye Mickey shirts. We needed 6 all together, plus we did a practice one.:) Anyway, it was fun and they all turned out good!! We are going to wear them when we go to MK, and all look "dorky" together.:rotfl:
Anyway, thanks to this board for all the great ideas!!

Cute! We made some last year and they were so much fun I might make some more. Even though we still have ours. :lmao:

Oh my gosh, these are SO cute. Is there a thread on how to make them? I don't have atrip planned (yet...) but I would LOVE to keep this tip for next time.

Thanks for sharing and have a GREAT trip!

Those are sooo cute! I want to get a shirt made, although I dont think I'm that crafty so I think I will go to an airbrush tshirt place and have one done that says on the front "ive graduated from college now what?.." and on the back have it say "I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!" and have a pic of mickey ears on it somewhere and then wear the shirt on the plane!!

I made iron on designs for each of the kid but after seeing that pic of the swirly ones- I am going to have to hurry and try to do that one too I cant believe the amount of ideas I get from this board! :cheer2:

Thanks everyone! Now I am going to make those swirly ones...my son wants to make a "Swirly Stitch" so, we'll see how that works. ;) We are going to OHana's for breakfast one day so maybe if the stitch thing works I will make them for all of us. HMMMMM...

Wow those are awsome..I went through a tie dye period a few years ago and really loved it but never had the desire or patience for the designs that required stitching but I definitly want to try these...the kids saw them and are demanding them for our trip in 2 weeks. So one quick question... is the head on front and back? Do you stitch straight through both sides of the t shirt or just the front or each side by itself? Thanks so much.. I can't wait to do this this weekend...Also what do you use for the head shape?

Here is my first attempt at one. The next time, I want a little less white left in the shirt, I bought some more to do.

We must have been on the same wavelength over spring break!!!:rotfl:
We made shirts for our family as well! (Two days worth of dye--shirts, then Easter eggs!!:scared: ) I was afraid my DH would think it would be dorky, but now that they're done, he can't wait to wear them!! We'll be "modeling" them on our June trip!! Here's one:

If you only want the design on the front, just sew that one side. That's what I did. You can sew through both sides, though, if you want it on front and back. I got the template off the DISign board--will see if I can find it and post it here. . .

Found it! Just right-click and save it, then print out. Here you go:
