We went to DL for the first time in 2006, I was pregnant at the time and our daughters were 8 and 9.

Not only did we do DL, but we did Six Flags, Universal the whole works.

Not once during our week long trip did I experience:

Peter Pan
Alice in Wonderland
Mr. Toad
Dumbo
Carasoul
Train
Jungle Cruise
POTC (it was down our entire trip)
Mark Twain Riverboat
Tom Sawyers Island
New Orleans Square
Jedi thingy
Astro Orbiters

Shall I go on? There are countless other experiences that I deprived myself on...too many to list.

Is this not ridiculous? At the time we went, I didnt know as much and we were basically gearing everything towards what they wanted to do which ended up being primarily in DCA. We "thought" that everything in Fantasyland was more for little ones and the girls never had any interest in going on anything. Now that we have a little guy, its all the more reason to explore, take our time and view everything from a toddler perspective.

Part of me feels as though this upcoming trip will be a whole new experience, almost like going for the first time again!

There is sooooooo much that I need to catch up on. :)

Wow !!

That is a lot of DLR !!

I hope you get to enjoy all of these things you haven't been able to enjoy. I think the older kids will have an awesome time on the more babyish rides. I absolutely enjoy them today and I'm 23.

How fun though to experience so much in one trip. Its going to be an OD on magic :)

It truly is. Especially because we have the little guy are going to take everything slow. The last time we flew through the parks too fast. So fast in fact that our very first day we attempted to do both parks.....open to close, not much of a break at all. DD (9) ended up falling asleep on my lap during the Electrical Parade and then barfed on the way back to the hotel from being exhausted.

We won't be doing that again anytime soon.:headache:

This past trip I even got my two teen boys to go on the "little kid rides". :) After I got them on the first one, they were suggesting others to go see.

We always go to DL first at opening. Then head over to CA for the afternoon, then back to DL. Sometimes we will go back and forth several times depending on what FP we have where.

Wow! You missed a lot! Going to the park with a little one is so much fun! And since you will have a little guy you have a good excuse for the "older" people to get to ride the "kiddie" rides too.... not that you need one... but just in case they need one.

My DD is 8 and I LOVE  all the "kiddie" rides even more than the big rides! Have a great time!

That's so funny! Aren't teens hilarious! I have a DS-17. All I have to do is take a teenage girl with us and he will turn to mush and ride anything!

hi there, some of those "little kid" rides are great :cool1: ...On our last trip last year, my kids were 16, 14, and 12 and we rode almost ALL the rides and we enjoyed them all...there were 2 or 3 on the list they didnt do the last trip....have an awesome trip...

I like some of Kiddie more than the "Thrill" rides. Although on our last trip our DS 5 comming off of space mountain looked at us as said "Thank you guys for liking space..." He loved it! of course dad a death grip on him the entire ride..lol

All these years my kids refused to do Snow White, Toad, Pinocchio and Alice. They were afraid of the whole darkness, stuff popping out at them etc so we finally got them to ride on our last trip and they loved them. We rode those rides 3 times each! It was like a whole new Fantasyland.

Wow is right! What did you guys do while you were there? LOL Yes, for sure do them all. All those things is what really makes DL what it is.

wow, that is a lot of DL that you guys missed! i was 12 years old during my 1st trip to DL. i was there with my mom and older sister...my aunt and uncle who lives in orange county brought us to DL...and they brought us straight to FL! i'm glad they did, i love those rides. and i can't wait to see how DD2 reacts to the castle and FL when we are there in less than 10 days!

have fun next week experiencing FL for the "1st time!" :)

Oh, my, that's a lot to miss! Out of the list, it's good you skipped Astro Orbiters. I didn't like it personally. I rode by myself, my seatbelt kept coming off and I kept sliding down on the turns like I was going to fall out. It's an uncomfortable sitting.

That's all I have to say.

I know, right? Im almost ashamed.

We spent most of our time at DCA and mainly did Indy and the Matterhorn..lol Im sad to say we only rode Splash, Space, BTMRR, and HM one time. Its weird. I had no idea how much we missed out on. Its a little ridiculous.
