WALT's WARRIORS (team7) Jan. 09 thread.

5 miles in 1:08 for me tonight.

Started out very bad with my left calf/shin really tight. :crazy2: Finally warmed up about mile 4...nice.:rotfl2:

But I did notice something tonight...in looking at my monthly totals, I have doubled my mileage since November! Woo Hoo!:thumbsup2

Oh, Kate I didn't mean it that way. Sure post your mile and times when you like on this (our) team thread, but for keeping track on the spreadsheet with all the teams it has it tracking it by the week from Saturday to Friday.
I think just comparing with the other teams, a monthly post would be good.

Tracy

Yeah i totally agree with you tracy! Wrote as much on Dave's thread! He he he you can't get rid of my posts that easily :goodvibes Monthly totals makes lots of sense- i keep my own spreadsheet anyway so very easy to do.

Sorry, I am so behind. It' sso hard fro me to catch up after vacation. I haven't even read what teh teams are supposed to be doing. WIll try to catch up on that.

STacey - Tracy's right. I'm allf or everyone who can ebing on teh team. Welcome back!!!!!!

Putting my mileage down before I forget.

1/5 - 60 min yoga
1/11 - 26.2 (52.4!) and 5:26. Woohoo!
Didn't get any park time calculated. :(
1/19 - 60 min yoga
1/20 - 40 min 3.4 miles. Not pretty.

So, we will post what we've done, but give our totals monthly? Sorry, I will try to catch up and not ask so many questions.:flower3:

5.5 miles for me tonight in 1:15. It was supposed to be six but my running coach didn't map it out quite right. :confused3 Oh, well...I guess I'll have to add a 1/2 mile on to Friday's run. :thumbsup2

Carrie: I would like for you to stay captain. I don't mind being co-captain and I think people would be willing to help you or I out if we are just bogged down.

I think keeping a monthy total for everyone is easier than doing the weekly thing. Just my opinion. Right now I have it going like it was before.

I suggested to Dave that we do a monthly total thread for all teams that way people will go there to check out the totals from their team and the other teams and they can put their congratalations and such over there and hopefully cross teams from time to time.

Your race report was great!!

I did 4 miles last night but my time is screwy because it didn't pause while I have to take a bathroom break.-ugh. I will figure it out.

Have a great day everyone!

Carrie - do you want a list of who is posting?? Maybe send PM to those we haven't heard from inawhile ans give them a date to get back to us. Dave needs a list.

Tracy

Hey Team! I am SO SO SO glad that we get to stay Warriors! :goodvibes

Yesterday = 4 miles on the elliptical. That's 75 minutes. (It takes a LONG time to go a mile on the elliptical! :rotfl2: )
Plus some core for 90 minutes total.

Today--heading out for my long run soon. WISH me luck--it has been a month since my last good long run! :scared:

Hey wonderful warriors.

Another TM run for me- 6 miles 55 mins, 10 more stretchy mins there and then, another 5 once got home. Again no sore IT band :thumbsup2 still foot burning but i guess it needs time to get used to orthotics. Getting very excited again!

Great job everyone- you're a brilliant team

Hey Warriors!! I want to thank you all for letting me be on your team with you this past year. I got a really bad respiratory infection in december and I didn't get any miles in until marathon weekend. Sorry about my disappearance.

I want to thank Carrie especially for all your hard work this past year. I am not going to be able to keep up with reporting my miles this year though. But I will see all of you on the weekly thread when I can and of course at all the disney races this year!

Happy training everyone!! :)

Becky

Hey warriors!

I have some minutes to report for this week so far.

1/18- 120 minutes of walking, no idea of the distance, but hope the minutes count anyhow.
1/20- 30 minutes (core/Abs)
1/21- 30 minutes 30 day shred

My running plan starts back up this weekend!

WOO HOO! I got my long run in today! It was TOUGH. I really wanted to quit, but I gutted it out and I am SO glad that I did.

8.6 miles total, plus lots of stretching (I have a weird hip pain going on...) and core for a total of 2 hours total.

The run wasn't great. Pace was at 11:06! I have been doing 10:30 - 10:45 pretty consistently. But at least it is in the book! :cool1:

Hey Warriors! Please, please, may I stay on the team? Before you all decide I need to let you know I don't have a race planned and my knee is pretty banged up. I'm going to have it checked out ASAP and see what's going on.

I do intend to keep active but may not be able to put up as many miles and minutes as when I am training. I'll understand if you would rather have people with planned races on the team. Don't worry, I'll still love you all!

Hey Warrior.... been a bit absent last few days. Trying to get things together.
I did 4 miles last Wednesday night. I am headed of to the ING Miami EXPO today. Opens at noon.

Jim: You posted a 5mile run the other day, but no time.

Amy: Time of course counts!!!

Lexxi: Sorry to hear about your ailments. Hope things workout and sorry to see you go, but will be looking for you on the weekly thread.

Barb: Please stay and post what you have total up to this point.

Have a great day.

Tracy

Happy Friday Kids!!!

Today the wind finally went DOWN & the temperature finally went UP enough to get out on the road on my bike.

I did a relatively easy 22.5 miles in 1:20.

Tracy, my 5 miler earlier this week was in 48:00

Yesterday I did about 45 minutes of weights + core.

3.4 miles in 43 minutes for me tonight. I had so much fun...it was pouring down rain! I was totally drenched by the time I got home and I loved it!!!

Now that I'm all clean, dry and warm, I get to go clean out DD4's room to make room for her "big girl bed." This will not be as fun as running in the rain!:sad2:

:cheer2: HAVE A GREAT RACE TRACY!!!:cheer2:

Yesterday was a X-train day for me.

So 10 miles one the bike + 10 minutes on the rowing machine + core. 1 hour.

Today...4 miles but lots and lots and lots of stretching since I am nursing a very sore IT band. So I will log another hour today.

And let me tell you, today's run was the most difficult I have about ever had. The temp here in Maine was 18*...which is definitely cold even in these parts. But I have run in colder, so I wasn't too worried about it.

But I forgot about the wind chill! OMG. It was so cold out that it was painful. When I got home I checked the news. Turns out that with the wind chill it was -9!!! It has been over 4 hours and I am still cold! Talk about bone-chilling cold! But it is in the books and tomorrow is my rest day! I've earned it this week, I tell ya. :goodvibes

Hey Becky, it's been an absolute pleasure getting to know you and so sorry uv not been well at all. We'll miss you, don't be surprised if i hunt you down for a becky update :)

Amy wahoo for new running plan! They are great mins to be reporting too :cheer2:

Erika that long run was brilliant, especially as you wanted to quit but kept it going. That shows true will power- great effort!
So sorry to read sore IT band, that makes me very sad. Altho you seem to really know your stuff with core work and stretches. I can't believe how cold it is in Maine- i must promise never to complain of the cold over here :rotfl: it's pathetic compared to you!

Barbara Yay i certainly would love for you to stay on the team- sore knee or not! In saying that i hope you get it sorted asap because that's rubbish being in pain. There's also plenty of time to plan a race- don't forget we have co-captain tracy on that case!!!! :thumbsup2 You take care and i expect to see lots of you on here just so i can :wave2: he he

Jim ha ha to a 22.5 miles ever being easy. Glad the weather's behaving for you finally. Sounds so random over there!

Michelle Aww running in the rain is a great feelin isn't it?!? Altho don't you dread stepping out at first? Hope DD4 love's her big girl bed and it was a lot of fun to put up and see her sleeping in it. She's growing up!!!

For me 7.5miles on TM in 70mins- not as far as i'd planned but time ran away with me. Knee's still managing, feet still burning but not til mile 5.5 now :upsidedow Did 10 mins stretching and will do 10 more later.

:beach: This is me in orlando after running princess 1/2 ha ha ha

:yay: GREAT JOB TRACY!!!:yay:
You did an awesome job! Are you coming to the DL 1/2 this year?

Just back from 9 miles in 1:55. I had a great run with no problems. :confused3 I almost don't know what to think about that. I always have something that goes wrong. With me, at least. I did have my stupid iPod die on me so my Nike+ stopped keeping track. At least I only had a mile to go at that point.

Have a great week Warriors!
