Started a new thread for posting of January's time and mileage.

Have a good month everyone and keep it up!!!

Tracy

5 miles of hill work tonight....and I survived! One hour. Funny thing is that the first two trips up were killer, but the last 3 were a lot easier! :thumbsup2 I must have warmed up or something...

Hope all you Warriors are having a wonderful time at the World! :dance3:

Tracy you're a star! Thanks for moving us into 2009 :rotfl: If you need a hand with recording miles etc let me know. I'll be easy to track as have done diddly squat since sunday. ergh.

GOOD LUCK MARATHON WEEKEND WARRIORS! Can't wait to see the expanded team photo. Keep safe and enjoy yourselves :goodvibes

Hey Warriors! SO glad to be back! I have been running, just not posting.

Long story short, I found out at the last minute that I am not running in Disney this week-end. It really took the wind out of my sails, as I am sure you can imagine.

Here are my totals for January so far:

1/2 - 4 miles, plus some stretching & core = 60 minutes
1/3 - 3 mile run, 10 mile bike, stretching = 75 minutes
1/4 - 14 mile bike, stretching = 60 minutes
1/6 - 5 mile run, stretching, core = 65 minutes
1/7 - strength = 40 minutes
1/8 - 4.5 mile run, stretching, core = 60 minutes

Hey kids! I've been bad about posting... again.

So, January 1-9: 15 miles at probably 3 hours

And the half for my Donald-- 13.1 miles (doubled;) ) at 3:23. My mom and I did it. We were a bit slow (I actually checked out the WISH boards on my phone somewhere around mile 9 to see what was posted while my mom was in a port-a-potty line!) but we did it. My mom is thrilled with her medal, and I made her do the cheesy holding hands through the finish line pictures!

Next up, Princess. In theory I want to train for a PR. I've gone so far as to print out a schedule.

Well done JEN!!! You did great

Very proud of each and every one of you warriors.

I managed a 5.2 mile run on TM in 48 mins. Lots of soreness but expected i guess as have had a week off. 10 mins stretching straight after a further 20mins spread through the days of stretching and strengthening. Sulk.

Also 4 mile walk with boyfriend which took 70 mins on sunday. forgot sorry :(

MIchelle: GOod job on your 10K!! Remember to post your miles and time for me!!

Great job everyone!!

Tracy

Happy Recovery Wednesday Warriors!!!

Hope all are doing well & the training is continuing well.

My results since my last post:

Fri 1/9 - 3.1 miles in 44:30 walk w/my DW @ the Circle of Life 5K
Sat 1/10 - 13.1 in 2:14
Sun 1/11 - 26.2 in 5:02 (JUST missed breaking 5 hours . Apparently because I cannot run in a straight line!)

42.4 total race miles

Coming up for me: Nat'l Marathon to Cure Breast Cancer 1/2 Marathon (Jax Beach) & ESPN 5k in Feb, Gate River Run 15K in March.

I'll also be playing Bike Medic @ the Princess 1/2. Hope to see you there!

I've done two whole days on my schedule! I did 3.5 miles on Monday in 36 really hard minutes, and 3 yesterday in 30 minutes. I forgot what it felt like to run hard!

Nice miles everyone!

Hey Warriors..

Great job everyone on the races this past weekend and getting back at it this week!

Miles since Saturday:

1/10- 13.1, (3:15). So disappointed over my time, but happy I was able to finish. I found out the hard way that overhydration is about as bad as dehydration.

1/15- 2.5 mile, (50 minutes)

Jim your times are awesome, please don't be down that you didn't break 5 hours you are a goofy inspiration!!! Hope to see you at the princess 1/2 too.

jen great work getting on with your schedule

Amy sorry it was a perfect race and you felt you overhydrated. We're still very proud of you tho :thumbsup2

i did 6.2miles outside in 52mins followed by 10 mins stretching. Then had physio to get my orthotics so i can bound along like bambi!!! He made me run for 20 mins too which i think was another 2 miles minimum so we'll go with that!

Sorry I've been MIA Tracy! All the time I have been spending on the boards has been spent reading all the awesome stories and looking at all the great pictures...:rolleyes1 I can't wait until DL and Dopey 2010!

Here are my times from the last week...

6.2 in 1:20 (+another .8 miles as I had 7 scheduled)
3 in 37
5 in 1:05

Thanks Tracy!

Did 3 miles yesterday running next to Emma on her bike- so our pace varied from sub-9 minute miles (briefly) to complete stops. I'm guessing it was 30 minutes.

Amy- don't be disappointed! I took a long time at the half, but I'm trying to replay all the different points in my head so I'll be ready to knock out a fast half at the Princess... unless I get totally distracted by taking pictures...

Well, fnally back at it and did 3 miles last night - didn't push it. Did a bit of stretching and home.
This morning when I went to turn over and turn off my alarm I got the most horrible Charley Horse in my right calf muscle. I was grabbing it and SCREAMING and Crying at the top of my lungs!! It hurt like @#&*#@!!
Finally could start massaging it after a minute and then had a hard time walking for awhile. Been trying to stretch it out now and then today while at work.
I have a massage tomorrow, so I hope that will help.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Michelle: Is your 10K miles posted?? Did you already do that, or did you post them already doubled??

Tracy

Sorry Tracy... I totally forgot to double them. :sad2: I did post the 6.2 miles (plus an additional .8 that same morning.) I just forgot to double them!

Thank you Tracy!:flower3:

Another 3 miles for me tonight. 40 minutes. I was having leg/hip issues tonight.:crazy2: Wuz up wit dat????

Hey hey, Michelle hope you're hip/leg sorts itself out very soon. That's no fun! Well done for keeping going for the 3 tho.

Tracy a charley horse?!?!?! Ok i'm guessing you had cramp! Ouchy. Good work doing your 3 miles too, can't keep you in can we :rotfl: good little warrior.

Hey can i count a leisurely walk? Went to a local national park with BFriend, we walked for 2 hours (it just flew!) and covered about 6 miles so if it counts that's a good boost to my figures.
