Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Tracy - WTG on keeping everyone motivated!!! BTW, your last 10.10 run, you gav eme warmup and stretching, but no time for the walk. :rotfl: So something I would do.

OMG!!!! I can't believe I did that!! Time for the 10.10 miles was 2 hours 27min 59 sec.

OK I have people doing races before the end of the year...
Jen in Ga - 10K
Michelle - 5-7 miles relay
Kate - 10K
Tracy - 5K
Carrie - 5K
AmyKab - 5K, Half Marathona and maybe another Half Marathon with a Starfish medal! (amy - where is that race?? and when??)

Barbara - hey girl, find any ol' local 5k run/walk or charity walk. Most 5k's or 10k time limits are usually non existant (sp?) Maybe try again. I walk nost 5K runs I do and nobody says anything.

Great Warriors keep it up!!

Tracy

Good evening Warriors! I'm checking in with 3.37 miles and 50 minutes for today.

LOL Carrie, I'm the queen of minutes!
Tracy, there aren't many local races up here this time of year. I did find the Jolly Jaunt 5K that benefits the Special Olympics. It's my 8 mile weekend so I don't know if I can fit it in. I'll give it serious thought just for you!

Hey Warriors.

Rest day for me today.

Tracy, the race is on December 14 in Clearwater/Madeira beach. Here is the webpage. http://www.floridahalf.com/raceinfo.html.

I swear that someone else on here somewhere said they were doing this race. I don't remember which thread it was though.

I am leaning towards doing it. I'd probably take it really easy. it says it is a gold running starfish medal. I think it will look great next to the astronaut one I'll get after the 1/2 this weekend. Very Florida-y.

Easy run planned for tomorrow.

Amy

Amy: I would so do that Half, especially with an early walker start, but I WILL BE IN DISNEY WORLD!!!
I will keep that in mind for next year, also will maybe do the Spacecoast one next year. Let us know what you think of them

maybe you'll come down to S. FL for the miami ING - get a spinning Palm Tree medal??

Tracy

Hey kids-

Monday- 55 minutes of a Pilates video (that still counts, right?)

Tracy- technically I signed up for a 10k and 5k for the "Double Pump." That's my version of Goofy this year! The 5k ends at the start line of the 10k, so you just line up again and keep going. I imagine the hardest part is to keep going towards the start line of the 10k and not my hotel! ;)

Jen in GA

Up to date as of last friday.

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=ppYit0DjqjVcAhKsgnZ6hOA&hl=en

I did 60 min of yoga last night.

OK, you guys are killing me with the fun medals! SAdly, my running travel funds are pettty much alrady set for 2009. :(

Tracy - lol on teh time. no biggie. I do like to see that others are human sometimes. :goodvibes

I just found out that the turkey trot in Detroit has way cool race shirts. Sadly no way this year. I'd love to do it next year, but I'm afraid of the chaos caused by the parade.

Tracy, thanks for the picture of the medal. does that one fill up fast? I am not sure about the 2nd 1/2 now...I might be in WDW too!! my parents are going to be able to make a trip to FL that weekend so I think we'll head there for our yearly WDW xmas fix!! I will post a full race report on the space coast 1/2.

Carrie, I picked up my shirt for the turkey trot I am doing and was so psyched to find out it was a super cool tech shirt!! Only 13 dollars to register too.

I am off to finish food shopping when DD wakes up...

Happy Tuesday Warriors!!!

You guys are all simply amazing!!

The last 2 days have been "Goofy Training" days for me.

Yesterday I ran 9.3 miles in 95 minutes using a "run 7 minute/walk 1" strategy. 10:12 mpm.

Today I (for some reason, freely & willingly) ran 19.6 miles in 3:30 using a "run 5/walk 1" strategy. 10:44 mpm. About the pace I was looking for. It is ahead of my double secret drop dead pace, so I was happy.

How many days to go IS it?

Hey warriors,
back in from running club- got 6.2miles in 54 mins and 10min stretch. Was 1oC outside so bit shivery now! So proud of you guys for putting those brilliant miles in and signing up for events. Go tracy for getting us all off our bottoms!
Jim- just because you felt like 19.6miles you are amazing!!!!!

Amy: The Miami ING Full and Half Marathon have not filled up fast in the past and they are not full now. They do have alot of people that do them. I do the Half and really enjoyed it this past Jan. It is two weeks after Disney. I did my fastest time ever in a Half at Miami. Yes, December WDW trip is our "annual" tri pto get a Christmas Spirit fix. That Sunday will be the day we come home.

Kate: Your welcome with the "getting you off your butt!"

Jim: Sounds like your Goofy Goofy Training is coming along great! There is 45 more sleeps until the Circle of Life 5K and the WISH meet!

Jen: Cool, I got you down for a 5K and 10K or is that a 10K?? Whatever you want it to be it is!!! You go girl!!

Carrie: I try to be human from time to time. Other times I am a vegatable or maybe a mineral??

Tracy

Tracy

I'm not sure i'm technically allowed to say this to you guys- but hope you've had a brilliant turkey day!!! ha ha, i love the idea of thanksgiving. Very cool. Just for carrie i'll go and eat some extra food!

Got some insoles for my shoes today and tried them out for 4.5miles on TM- 40 mins plus 10 stretch and butt exercises! Went well so fingers crossed. i am about to sign up for the boston marathon next year thanks to my crazy friend- through sports tours there's no qualifying time. I'm going to need some serious encouragement, but then i am part of THE BEST TEAM EVER!!!!

Eat well warriors :goodvibes

Happy Thanksgiving Warriors!

Nothing to report. I had marathon kitchen duties these last couple of days.

Kate, hope the insoles do the trick!

Hey Warriors! Once again it has been a week since I have posted! I am bound and determined to get back to posting here regularly!

So here are my times and miles for the past week:

11/20 = 3.1 miles plus some strength training for 60 minutes
11/21 = 9.2 miles (a real stonker, but I got through it). 1:40 with stretching
11/22 = OFF
11/23 = 3.7 miles plus strength for 65 minutes
11/24 = 3.7 miles and stretching for 45 minutes
11/25 = 5.6 miles and stretching for 60 minutes
11/26 = 4 miles and stretching for 50 minutes
11/27 = OFF
Today = 11 miles! With stretching it was 2:00. And I did the whole 11 miles at a 10:42 pace wich is a PR for long run pace for me. :cool1:

Good evening Warriors! I did 2 miles and 30 minutes today. I got measured for new orthotics today. The sports doctor is using a new material so my foot doesn't slip. I hope this will take care of my blister problem.

My totals for the week are: 15.37 miles and 224:21 minutes.

Kate, I don't live far from Boston, maybe I can cheer you on.

Enjoy the weekend everyone!
