Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Put me down for another 2.2 miles , 40 minutes. With a "chill" in the air here in FL, we took DD for a stroll tonight.

Good evening Warriors! 3.41 miles in 36 minutes for me.

Thanks for the inspiration, Warriors!

Hey guys. So sorry i feel like i've been slacking this week :headache:

Been at university starting a new course and have had to get up at 5.45AM every morning to get there. That is a massive blow to my sleep and we've not been getting back until 6.30PM so just worn out. on the upside i think i can count our fast walk from station to lectures which would add 7.5miles over the week and 150mins.

Did make it out after uni today for a 5.5mile run in 48mins, also 10 mins stretch and hip wasn't awful. Going to be same next week sorry guys.

Kate: Don't worry too much about it. You'll get back in the swing of things I'm sure once it settles.

I got into the pool (alittle cool now) and did 30 min of exercise. Yeah!!

Tracy

Hi everyone,

I got a 1/2 hr in for 2 miles on the tread mill tonight. Have a good night!

Today in SOuth FLorida I did 4 miles in the drizzle rain...

58min 46 sec, with 5 min stretching.

Tracy

OK, I've been so bad about checking in. I have no idea what anyone's up to--

Carrie- here are my times- they go back pretty far. If you can't update, it doesn't bother me- I should have posted earlier.

Sept 16- 1.15 hours of labor with not nearly enough drugs;

Sept. 18- 1 mile walk after discharge from hospital... slowest mile ever.

last week- 10 miles. Some running, some not. Turns out my running speed is the same as walking, but something about thinking I'm running makes me feel better. ;)

I'm pleased to report GoofyBaby stayed awake for an entire 3 mile walk/run and just looked around. It made me a bit apprehensive, but he was perfectly happy!

Next stop- Disney on Thursday and Race for the Taste!!!

Jen in GA

Yeah Jen!! What a Warrior you are for getting out there right after Goofy Baby Miles!!

Happy Sunday everyone,

I did 45 minutes, 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. I may get outside a little later for a more.

I got in 8 miles this morning in between rain showers.

2 hours 30 sec. Not a great time - but I was slougish this morning. Add in 5 min of stretching.

Michelle - How did your Half Marathon go??

Tracy

Jen you're amazing (and possibly a little crazy!). Do Goofybaby miles not count too? :rotfl:

Tracy great work getting 8 miles in, especially when you weren't feeling it.

Jeff awesome workout on TM :goodvibes

I did 5.5miles around my village again this morning- 48 mins plus 10 stretching. Bit disappointed as should have done 10km but just hurt a little too much and race on sunday so didn't push myself, boo.

Keep it up guys

Hey Warriors!

Jen :woohoo: for getting out there so soon! :worship: :worship: GL with RFTT!

My RfTC 5K was awesome. Weather was a 10, temps in the upper 60's, no clouds, low humidity. My running legs showed up and I PR'd (Garmin showed 36:50 at 3.1 miles. This was not a chip timed event). Actual distance start to finish was 3.2 (37:30). Either way a PR for me. Negative splits for the first time ever (12:30, 11:50,11:30). I jogged the entire way (a first for me) except for water stop 1 and a minute at mile 2.5. Tried to run water stop 2 and that was a a disaster. I think I could have gone sub 36 minutes, but the first mile was spent weaving in and out of people who didn't line up where they were supposed to. They only said like 5 million times that if you had a stroller, you needed to line up behind the walkers, but there were still strollers starting in the middle of the pack! This 5K had about twice as many people as the 5K at Disney that I did in May. At least.

It was incredibly moving to see all the survivor shirts and all the people racing in memory of or in honor of someone. I forgot my camera :sad2: and locked my keys in the car (luckily DH came to the rescue).

So, with double miles, 6.4, 37:30 for 10/4!!

Hello team...

Good news is that I actually finished my 1/2 this morning. Bad news is that at mile 8 I developed massive blisters on the bottom of both of my feet. I spent the last five miles hobbling along, tenderly placing each step. Even had to hit the aid station. So my official time was 3:52. I'm getting worse!!! Oh well... there's always next time!

Congrats Michelle on the 1/2, sorry about the blisters.

Jen - congrats on goofybaby, and for getting out there so quickly.

Everyone - great runs/walks today!

I did 2.75 miles = 60 minues total (walk & stretching)

Have a great night everyone!

Michelle: Glad to hear you finished the Cowtown, sorry to hear that the blister situation didn't get better before the race and then only got worse!! You live and you learn I guess. It'll get better!! Glad you hung there and got er done.
You finished and that, afterall, is what its all about! Yeah You!!

Tracy

Last week's totals - 11 miles 2:36

yesterday I took DD in her stroller and did a LW of 8.07 miles in 1:49:11. I am working on speeding up my walking and am very pleased with my pace of 13:32 per mile.

Have a good day Warriors!

Becky

Evening Warriors.

Went out tonight and did 2 miles, 40 minutes total.

Also, forgot to add 1 mile that DD and I have done.

Have a great night everyone.

Hello Warriors!!

Today that was the first Tuesday that all county parks are closed due to budget cuts. So I was off today and did my route but just went by the park and waved :wave2:. Not sure how long they'll be closed on Tuesdays, but its a shame.

4 miles in 59min 14sec. Add in 5 min stretching.

Tracy

Hey warriors. Made it to running club after uni, whew. 6 miles took 58mins, struggled to find my pace group as just had speedy gp and more relaxed one, altho split off with another girl towards the end who really pushed me so made up some time. Add 10mins of stretching after and 2 before (i know it should be longer :upsidedow )

Michelle so proud of you for completing your 1/2 especially with monster blisters!!!! Great effort.

Catching up for several days...

Last week:

Thursday = 4 miles plus strength; 90 minutes
Friday = 6 miles, with stretching and cool down, etc. 75 minutes
Saturday = Off

This week

Sunday = 3 miles; 35 minutes with stretching
Monday = 4 miles plus strength = 70 minutes
Today, Tuesday = 3.5 miles plus strength for 90 minutes

Thanks for putting up with me! :rotfl2:
