Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

30 minutes Walk Strong which is 2 miles.

My totals are: 8.30 miles and 127.50 minutes.

Relaxing 3 miles today (I have 9 on schedule for tomorrow)
43min 5sec. Very warm and 85% humidity - yuk! Plus some smoke still hovering around from last nights fireworks.

Well, a not so great 9 miles today. I had to slow down alot the last mile. Again, incase you haven't heard me say it, I DON'T LIKE TRAINING IN THE SUMMER HEAT!!
Time was 2hours 14min 5sec. Def not a best time, but got it done.

Now to sit and relax.

Oh it's the last day of wimbledon, now don't get me wrong i hate playing tennis but like watching it! Went for a run outside: 3miles 27mins and 7 min stretching = 34 mins total.

Add another 30mins i've just done on the Wii- most of it yoga and muscle stuff.

I've just got my mum to agree to try racewalking with the aim of a 5km! No i didn't call it that because it would frighten her, but we're going to aim for that 15m/m incase we happen to be in orlando in march ;) Actually i don't really know how to race walk so could be interesting

Hi Warriors,

Just checking in with the miles I did last week on vacation..

6/30- 2 miles, 35 minutes (a hike to an abandoned town)
7/2- 5.45 miles, 111 minutes ( 3 hikes, alot was uphill!!)
7/4- 3.16 miles (Firecracker 5K) 39:36 (PR for me despite hills and a bad cough)
7/5-2.25 miles 57 minutes (hike around a lake with DD)

TOTAL(includes double miles for the race) 16.02 miles, 4.04 hours!:cool1:

Mini Race Report:

I did the firecracker 5K in brevard, NC. I ended up with bib #13! It went well despite numerous hills and my cough! I have had no hill training at all! I think if I hadn't had the cough I could have come closer to the 36 minute time I was hopeful for. My average pace was 12:33! I definitely started out too fast (first mile split was 11:56 with 2 huge hills!!). They didn't have water until well into mile 2, I assumed it would be around 1.5 or so, so I didn't carry any with me. Miles were not marked off, so I am very glad I had my garmin!! All in all it went well.

Hope everyone had a good week! :)

Apologies fr still not being up to date. Can you believe we lost internet at home??? Ugh. WOrst possible timing too (and not jsut for you warriors). They'll have a repai person out btwn 8 am an 8pm on Wed, though. How very convenient. :sad2:

On teh bright side, I did really well on my half Friday adn did 30 mim swim (half mile) 30 min row (.64 miles) and 13.49 on teh bike Saturday. Woo hoo!

Hope you all had a great holiday weeknd!

Well Amy despite nasty cough and number 13 you sound like you had a good 5km. I never notice mile/km markers so I can understand your love of garmin for that! Well done and also great effort with all that activity during vacation!

I've been swimming today 0.95miles 45mins and did WiiFit yoga for 25mins. Starting nights as of tomorrow and if it's quiet i'm tempted to take my wiifit as something to keep us awake, wahoo.

HAPPY MONDAY!

Well, that darn cold held me up through this past week. I still managed to do Peachtree though. My time was about 13 minutes slower than my average 10K but hey I got my shirt! So here is my total for last week:

6.2 miles - 1:00:25

Me & my training buddies (Queen, David Bowie, Van Halen & Jimmy Buffett) got in a 7.38 mile run in 70:00 today

t-83.17 run/120.9 bike

Hi, remember me? I am ashamed that I have neglected everyone. :flower3:

I hope to have some time to catch up on the goings on soon. I've been putting in steps, and I've got them written on a bunch of little papers that I must log into my spreadsheet. Ugh.

Despite the smoke here in NorCal, the horrible air quality (we have been told to stay indoors as my county is the worst) and the heat (105 today) :headache: I forced myself to hit the gym tonight. But even the gym was hot! I dripped my way through 3 miles in 39 minutes. I just don't know how I'm going to complete my long run on Wed. We aren't supposed to get below 100 all week! :sad2:

Hey Warriors!

I've been naughty and haven't posted my miles for last week. Let's call it 6 miles walking, but at the slowest pace ever so I'm not even putting in the hours!

BUT, on the Fourth, my mom and I did a 5k together! She's signed up for the half, but starting to panic. In her training runs, she's never done more than 2.5 miles mostly walking. I forced her to go just so she could get some experience.

I made her start out slower than she wanted- we ran the whole first mile in a little over 13 minutes. We then ran on and off the rest of the way for a grand total of about 43 minutes. I was very pleased, and I think she has new confidence (although I didn't appreciate the fact that she felt the need to yell "old" pointing to herself and "pregnant" pointing to me to all the volunteers we saw! ) The people at the finish cheered for us-- my mom had said that part would be embarassing, but I think she kind of got into it!;) I'll post some pictures later.

Michelle - :scared1: Hope you can figure something out for your LR. MAybe a new movie and a TM? :confused3

Way to keep it up everyone!!! I am so proud of all of you for getting out there even when circumstances areless than ideal.

Well, I bike about 9 miles in 45 min last night adn ran for 15 pitiful minutes. Yikes is bike to run hard. I think I put alittle over a mile in on teh run.

Good afternoon warriors!

Got out this morning for a 5.4 mile run in 48 mins. It was 3 laps of my village and by the 3rd one some of the builders on my route were cheering!!! It was like my very own race, lol. Add 5 extra mins for stretching time. Right i'm off for a lie down and hopefully mini-sleep before my night shift bleugh.

Hope the fires and smoke go away soon michelle. I've been thinking of you as it's been on our news too :surfweb:

Hi guys! I'm late...

I have been so exhausted that I've not gotten much activity in. I've started eating gluten-free yesterday (I didn't want to wait on my doc) and I'm hoping that will give me more energy! The endoscopy last Wed came back ok, but I go back in two weeks to get the official results from the that and the blood work.

I only have 2 miles and 2 hrs of activity last week. :sad2: Sorry!!!

Stacie
