Walt's Warriors (Team 7) Miles and Hours

Great job with the event, Stacie!

Today I banged out a 5-miler like it was nothing! Granted, I was only running at a 10:45 pace....but still! :rotfl2:

Seriously, it was not challenging at all. I can't figure this running thing out! Sometimes I can do a 5-miler and feel like I could go another 5...and other days I am waging war on myself after about only 2! Oh well. I'll take the good days as they come!

I also did some strength training and a core workout.

Totals=

5.1 miles
1:30 total exercise time

Today:

bike 30.65 in in 1:47:45

run 4.18 in 40:00

total 34.84 in 2:27:45

No swim today. Tidal current sucked and the waves were coming in at about a 30º angle to the shore. Bad day for imitatin' a fish.

day 1 of completely repeating C25K. 2.15 miles, 30 minutes. It went well :)
13 min/mile average pace for the 20 minutes of intervals.

I signed for a july 4th 5K, so I am excited about that!

Have a good night everyone!

Hi everyone! Congrats on all the great numbers!!!

I did, said I would and I did. Ok, so it was only a little, but its a start.... I got in a total of 20 minutes and 3 miles last night. 15 on the bike, 5 stretching. baby steps. Tonight is a video of some sort.

Have a great day team!

I think it's time for a roll call!

Stacey fantastic work getting out there, your numbers will start rolling in before you know it.

Amy well done on such a great start, regardless of whether it's first or 10th time. Also great work finding a race to keep you all excited and motivated.

Jim i think marlin could've managed those waves! WTG on another awesome workout tho :rotfl:

Erika those great days are brilliant when they come along. Sounds like you really enjoyed your run- keep up the good work

Stacie wahoo for the RFTC. Excellent time and double miles.... whoop whoop!

Tracy 7 miles walk! Get you! Clearly us warriors aren't affected by humidity... i'm being inspired by you and Jim :worship:

Becky congratulations on signing up for the DL 1/2 and your week totals are fab.

yesterday i got in 30 mins of stretching/ wii fun!

I'm just in from a 4.4 mile run and i didn't have to take a breathing break, yay! Took 38mins but it was a fairly flat route, followed by 10mins of stretching. Bad news is i have probably lost both my potential travel buddies for the toronto half in september so i may have to pull out :(

Sorry if i've missed anyone :thumbsup2

Yeah! More Warriors for the DL 1/2!

Well team...I DID IT!!! I finished my first tri this weekend! At DL no less! It was an awesome experience...swimming in the lagoon at DCA was gross, but awesome nontheless!!

So my time was 1:39 and mileage was 12.8 total.

I'm already looking at a local tri for July!

Monday 5.50 mile run 53 minutes
1 hour team fitness

Tuesaday 5.10 mile run 49 minutes

Michelle: Congrats on the Tri!! Double points for the Warriors!! Yes, more Warriors at the DL Half.

Kate: Hey you - drop the race and come to California for the DL 1/2!!! We need more Warriors. I know Jim and I are having it hard in the humidity capital of the world, but hey I guess since we are surviving it can't be that bad - just wet and soaking all the time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me I did 2.50 miles in the rain tonight after work. That last .50 the sun came bursting out in its full glory and heat, wasn't feeling good after being wet. I forgot my Garmi so it was 2.50 miles in about 38 minutes.

Yeah us. I think I am signing up for a local 5k on July 4th.

-Tracy

Today I managed 3.34 in 33:00. It was INSANELY hot here today. Over 94 degrees at lunchtime when I ran.

Last week mileage:

Walk - 10 - 2:30

Run - 12 - 2:00

Hey Warriors!

Long time, no posting.

My totals for the week are 9 slow walking miles, and approx. 5 hours total (including DVDs).

It's insanely hot, and I'm getting insanely big (just entered my third trimester). I'm going to try to keep plugging along for awhile, but may have to take a Warrior hiatus since I'm finding I can't contribute much!

Glad to see everyone is doing well.

I'm so jealous of Becky with her DL run- you get the super secret medal too, right?!

Jen in GA

Jen: Glad to hear you are hanging in there. Contribute what you can. I think decorating the babies room counts as XT??:rotfl: I'm in for the Walt and Mickey medal also, going out the DL solo.

As for me, I am off from work today. I needed to pick up a RX at Walgreens so I biked there inbetween the rain showers and thunderstorms.
So put down for me 4.54 humid miles in 29min 53sec. Tryin to help out us warriors.

Hi all!

Tracey - way to go on the biking!

Kate, sorry you might have to bag the toronto trip, that stinks.

for me: I did do the pilates video last night - 30 minutes, and went walking this morning - with stretching 30 minutes, 1.55 miles. It's a slow start, but it's a start that's going to keep on going till the 1/2 in January!

Have a great day everyone!

Good evening, Warriors!

W1D2 C25K..2.25 miles, 30 minutes.

During the intervals I had a 12.1 min/mile pace...I am really happy with that and am getting a better idea of what I am going to need to do to get a PR at the 5K I am running on July 4th.

Have a good night everyone!

Hey Warriors! Remember me? Been crazy. WOrking out of town, traveling ont eh weekends. Ben a bit tapped out. Hope to catch up soon! WTG on keeping up the battles!

Took two days off after the tri and hit the gym last night. 3 mile run and 1/2 mile swim in 1:15. It felt good too! No soreness or anything! Woohoo!

Hey warriors. I did a 5.1mile run earlier today, took 45 mins followed by 10min stretching. Still can't honestly say i'm enjoyin the stretching... i know it's important but it's soooo boring ;)

Hope you're all ok :)

Kate: I'm with you on the stretching seem boring thing.

I did 4 miles with the gnats tonight in 57min 22sec.
4 minute warmup and 5 min warmdown and stretching.

Hey Warriors! Happy Friday!

Nothing yesterday, C25K on the schedule for today. My Garmin and pilates DVDs should be here today as well!:cool1: :woohoo:

I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on what you think the best 1/2 training plan is. I am a new runner/walker and my longest distance is a 15K.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! :goodvibes

Hey Team!

Yesterday I did 7.6 miles in 85 minutes plus some stretching. (1:25) And it felt good! I could have kept on going

Today I biked 12 miles and did strength training--1:20 total :goodvibes
