This can be a common occurrence. I booked a hotel through monarch and ended up not using quidco as the quidco link upped the price by £50 for the week....sneaky.
Always check both ways - with and without cashback - and always clear cookies and temp files between checks, I know it can seem a pain but it could end up saving you £50
