Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger joined Disney Legends, members of the Disney family, and other Disney luminaries to dedicate Walt Disney’s newly restored office suite on the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank today. The restoration faithfully re-constructs Walt’s formal and working offices and includes original furnishings, some items from his collection of miniatures, awards, and his piano. Office suite 3H was carefully restored and re-envisioned by Walt Disney Archives staff as an immersive exhibit experience where Disney employees and studio guests can find inspiration by visiting the creative center of the studio that Walt so loved.

Wonder if Walt's restored office is in its original location at the studios?

Edit: Here's the answer to my question:

Good to know. I wasn't worried it wasn't going to be used. Biggest problem now is the general public can't see it. (Disney doesn't do general public tours.)

I think you get to visit the studios in the Adventures by Disney trip to Southern California. But then again, that's not exactly an option for everyone.

Those trips aren't relatively cheap either.

There are several tours of the studio and archives offered throughout the year for D23 gold members.

Relative to what? Other ABD trips are much more expensive.

My wife and I did the Backstage Magic Trip with the DIS back in June 2013. All 3 posts above are true (1) you DO get a tour of the Disney Studios on the ABD trip, (2) They are not cheap, and (3) they are much cheaper than most ABD trips.

Through the DIS, the trip ran us $2500 a piece (double occupancy) - which was a LOT of money for essentially 5 days of vacation for us. And I have to tell you, while I would not spend the $5000-$10,000 that most ABD trip will run you, as a Disney fan - this trip is SOOOO worth saving up that money to do it once in your lifetime. The things you get to do and see across the main 4 days of the trip are incredible. In fact, the Disney Studios tour was one of the weaker parts of the trip - even though we got to go into the Disney Archives. This is partly because just prior to the Disney Studios you tour Imagineering, which is MIND-BLOWING. I don't like talking about the things we saw on public posts because it should be seen without prior knowledge - though it changes all the time - but we got to see the ORIGINAL Haunted Mansion portraits, and that was quite honestly the 5th or 6th most amazing thing we saw. The backstage stuff you get to do at Disneyland is also fantastic, as well as the on-stage treats that are included (Club 33, Walt's Apartment, the Dream Suite). If you click on "A Fistful of Fastpasses" in my signature - you can see a lot about the tour. I think in the end I counted something like 30 once-in-a-lifetime experiences that we got to do. Combined with what you get to do - AND the fact you stay at the Loew's Hollywood and the Grand Californian, I have no doubt that the trip is worth the cost.

Sorry to hijack the thread...but back to the topic - at the time, they pointed out where Walt's office used to be. I don't know if they would take the tour through his office now, but I would hope that they would.
