Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

I am unfamiliar with the D23 discount. Is the code D23? I tried it for a few of my dates, September and October, and it seemed to recognize the code but I got a rate not valid for all dates. Is it only for the convention?
Just a general reminder- make sure you actually qualify for this discount if you try to use it. I don’t have experience with the D23 discount but Dolphin has checked me for a valid AP a couple of times and SR checked me for a work rate that nobody else had ever bothered to validate before.

How do you find AP rates for Swan and Dolphin? Is it in the app? I'm a new AP holder.

For Reservations: Contact them at 1-888-828-8850 and ask for promotional code ANNUAL PASSHOLDER RATE or when booking online, make sure Promotional Code QWH appears in the Corporate/Promo code box.

Valid/current Disney Annual Pass is required at check-in to receive this offer.

FYI you can use that code in the Bonvoy mobile app as well.

As PPs have mentioned, when I checked in at Swan front desk for a room I had booked at AP rate, they asked for proof that I had an Annual Pass. This was early August.
And just to add to the great feedback from @Best Aunt. If you have not activated your AP when you stop at the Front desk. Just let the Front desk team member know that you need to activate your AP, and they will want you to stop back by to show proof. We used to use our physical activated AP ticket but now we just show it in MDE.

This! I just showed them the AP in MDE and all they did was verify that my name matched what they had on the booking. Personally, I'm glad they check to make sure you actually are qualified to book the rate you did, whether it's AP, government employee, teacher, etc.

Hi
Just decided to book a last minute trip thru Bonvoy for me and my adult daughter for my birthday. Just realizing my husbands name is on the account. Will that be a problem for my Disney experience app as well as checking in at the Swan? I didn't even realize it's under his name until I went to link the conf # in the Disney app and his name popped up! Ugh anyone ever deal with this?

You definitely need the names on MDE to match whoever is in the room.

Ok thanks! So if i add my daughter to the room we should be fine right?
No there is no need to add her by name. Only (1) name needs to be listed on Bonvoy / Marriiot is the primary name of the lead Guest ( in your case, your name , and the correct number of additional adults / children in the room.

When you link the reservation number in MDE, you add all the other names, and or map them to names you manage in MDE or are shared via Family & Friends.

Does this make sense?

Yes it makes total sense thanks! I just called them and because the Bonvoy acct is in my husbands name he needs to stay as the lead/primary guest. I explained my situation and the woman from the Swan (who couldn't be nicer!) added my daughter as the 3rd adult and she said we will be fine in the Disney app even though he isn't coming. She said to wait a couple of hours and try to link the reservation in my app. Praying she is right!! She said technically she is supposed to charge me for the 3rd adult but isn't due to my circumstances and being a loyal Bonvoy member which I thought was extremely generous!!

If you spoke to in-house reservations at the Swan it should be just fine but I would wait until tomorrow before you try to relink the Marriott reservation number again. Normally the in-house team pushes the updates directly to Disney vs the batch updates that are grouped.

When you book online, and it is just before a weekend or during a weekend it may take until Monday to be transmitted to Disney.

Yes officially a third adult does result in a small fee but the in-house team can waive it. Worst case they can fix it while you at the resort since there will only be (2) adults in the room.
