Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Are there places to eat there? I love the location. Yacht Club is my favorite resort. How is the bus service to MK and AK? Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking at a balcony room at Dolphin or Epcot view at Swan Reserve. Anybody have any experience with either type room. I love a balcony for sitting out and drinking my coffee. But what is the view of? Is it just the hotel? Also I see the Dolphin has double beds instead of Queen. Are there places to eat there? I love the location. Yacht Club is my favorite resort. This was taken from the balcony of our resort view room at Dolphin. We loved it! We used the AK bus from Dolphin once and the rest of the time for AK and MK we used the Boardwalk bus. We thought the dining options were plentiful at Dolphin and especially when you include the restaurants at Swan, Boardwalk, YC, and BC.

Great photo! We also love the dining options at Dolphin and Swan - and we'll throw in Swan Reserve. We really have grown fond of Amare.

We just got back from a trip to WDW - we stayed at Swan Reserve for a portion of our stay and were upgraded to EPCOT views. Hands down, the absolute best view we've ever had at WDW (and we've had many). Highly recommend booking if you have small children who may want to see the fireworks, but not be in the middle of all the action!

Well after sleeping on it, I couldn't decide between the Dolphin (really unsure about the double beds vs Queen) and Swan Reserve yesterday (both had AP rates) for 3 adults I ended up going on line this morning and The Swan was showing AP rates (there weren't any yesterday). Yahoo! I ended up booking the 2 Queen Resort View Deluxe with balcony for the week beginning December. 26. I currently have Pop but this turned out to be cheaper than the lowest rate for a moderate resort for the same week since there aren't any AP rates after Christmas Day. Not sure if they ever have them. Very excited to stay here during this week because we love Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and the whole Crescent lake area.

I think you made a good call. I recall last years holiday discounts ended Xmas Day.

Rebooked a fall ap rate at Dolphin and saved about $90 on a 4 day trip.

Cool part was I was able to link it to MDE within a couple hours. My last minute Dolphin booking last month was the full 24 hour waiting period so the Dolphin concierge had to give me a special early entry pass.
I just modify my original reservation, keep the same reservation number and don’t have to relink.

What a gorgeous view 😍! I was at Epcot that night and the full moon was incredible! IIRC that was a chilly night - perfect that you could have that amazing view and a warm room to step back into whenever you wanted. Love it!

Great photo!

Yes, I kept watching for the AP rates for December and when they released them only going through December 25 I figured it was probably a no go. I thought maybe I will check out the Swan/Dolphin to see if they had AP rates and wouldn't you know it. Haven't ever stayed there so looking forward to it. Glad to see you were able to save some money too with the AP rates. They must have just come out because I am seeing quite a few have saved over the last day or two.

I have magic bands from my last trip 9 years ago so they are super outdated. Is there ANY point to me bringing them for my Swan stay?
