Resort Thread Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE Resorts

Thanks to all that responded to my previous question. I was also wondering what grocery delivery service people have used with the Dolphin. Just looking for things like water, sunscreen and maybe a few snacks. I have used Garden Grocer in the past but just wondering if places like Walmart or Amazon also will deliver to the Dolphin. Thanks in advance for any info.
We use Instacart and usually go with either Publix or Target.

Quick question about the “text” feature on the app…do you have to be on property to use it? I tried to use it the other day and it wouldn’t do anything (granted, I’m clear over in Hawaii). TIA!

Just reporting back that your suggestion worked great! I got a response in less than 5 min!

So for anyone who might be interested, you can indeed have a scooter delivered to bell services without being present. Hoping it’s not one of those “say one thing when in practice it’s another” kind of situations and in reality this can’t be done! My mom is renting from Gold’s so I’m sure they can give her more info.
Text works great, from anywhere.

I've used Buena Vista Rentals many times, no issues.

So does that mean I could actually place the order on the day I arrive like I can when I use that service at home? Just wondering as it has been a couple of years since i have used that app. Thanks.
Yes - we just did it - right after check-in. I know some people place the order as soon as they land (when flying), but I always prefer know my room # so that I can specify in the special instructions. Just don’t forget to change your address 😎

I actually already put the Dolphin in as an additional address to be sure, 😂. Do they deliver to the room if you have the room number or do they still bring the delivery to Bell Service?

No. And the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve resorts request guests meet their delivery driver from the grocery service. If guests are not available, grocery deliveries will be left with Bell Services. However, they do NOT provide refrigeration.

Sitting at the pool bar enjoying a final pina colada before heading to MCO. What an incredible stay we had at the Swan!! We were here for six nights and loved every second of it. It's at full capacity yet doesn't seem busy at all. We enjoyed the pools 5 out of the 7 days we were here and all were great. No problem ever getting lounges under umbrellas. Boats and walking to Epcot and DHS were so easy and convenient. Took the busses from here to AK and Disney Springs, both very easy. Took the Yacht and Beach Club busses home. Walked to the Boardwalk for the bus to MK and took that bus back (2x). Ate lunch at Rosa Mexicana which was delicious. Let me know if you have any questions! Given the price and location, can't imagine ever staying anywhere else. (We had a balcony room on 3rd floor of East - near elevator. Requested higher floor but ended up loving our room. So convenient!) Oh, and coffee from Java and Fuel (much busier than Java) was great. And did laundry two mornings, which was very easy and quick. Walked to the Speedway gas station (across from Boardwalk main entrance) twice for beer/wine, breakfast stuff and snacks.

Nice stay at Dolphin, I would return. LOVED my pool day! Ordering from my chair via phone on my schedule was great.

Rosa’s is an option for the Elite Breakfast Voucher. The voucher gets you 2 continental buffets or 1 full buffet. You can pay the difference to upgrade from continental to full if you want. I didn’t like the hot pre-cooked items as they were all sitting under heat lamps too long but I loved the made to order omelets. You order from your server and you can also order toast or bagels from your server. I believe they accommodate allergies as I overheard someone discussing that with them. The breakfast staff were quite attentive and all nice. Everything including gratuity is covered by the voucher if you don’t add on so didn’t even need to sign a check. Only downsides are they don’t open until 7am and it takes longer than Fuel (obviously).

Had no idea they offered breakfast! Now there is another option!

As a solo traveler it was great and even with someone else I’d return as I felt it was a decent deal. Coffee, omelette, fruit, peace & quiet to start the morning. I don’t even like breakfast lol but one burns calories like crazy when doing Disney!
I randomly did it last year when I stayed there over Labor Day weekend and everything was really fresh, I enjoyed it. Even paying out of pocket.

Has anyone booked using Capital One Travel before? Swan is over $200 cheaper than my Annual Pass discount booking directly. However I see no mention of the resort fee anywhere I even read all the fine print. No mention that I would be charged extra by the hotel.

I am worried they are not being transparent and I will he hit with resort fees when checking out. Then I'd probably end up at the same price or more as my Annual Pass rate booked directly. Would love to hear anyone's experiences.

I’m guessing it’s the same as through the chase portal. We booked through chase and paid the resort fees additionally when we got to the hotel. So yes, you will be hit with those additional resort fees as well.
