Not sure if anyone else has posted this, but I found an issue of Life magazine on Google Books that has the opening of WDW featured.

wow, how wierd does look with all that open space in the ariel photo. theres no space, slash or big thunder mountains. no epcot in the backround. it was so small back then. but we thought it was biggest lol.

Sorry, the link seems to be broken. Anyway, the price for the Oct. 15th, 1971 edition of Life is only $12.95. I typed in a search and the most expensive site had it listed for $38, I think.

I got a copy of that Life Magazine from Ebay a few years ago. I also have a Look Magazine from April 1971, also from Ebay. I have them framed and hanging above my computer.

I was in the magazine hanging to the right (my right). I remember the press
being at the park and following me and my family around all day. It was an
amazing experience to be a part of Disney World's opening week. I was pictured with Donald Duck. My fifteen minutes of fame!
